In America they would say : "Diet NLS" .. here in Europe it was NLS light this Weekend. A new concept to bring more Teams into the NLS community. Yes there were almost 60 Cars inscribed, yes it should/could have been more, but it's new and thus People have to get acquainted to the Format. This means Teams, fans and Media.

All in all it was a very interesting Race, even though the top GT4 Teams from the PETN were all absent, the fight on the fast end was tight. One Golf was going all out pedal to the Medal, one golf was lifting and coasting to get through the 4 hours with just 2 Stops. ( Remember the Alternative Fuel people have to refuel outside the pitlane and then change tires inside the pitlane,making stops very time consuming)

In the middle we had all the M4 GT4 and a Supra GT4 fighting it out. It already looked like a sure 1-2 for the Golfs.. but the most Heartbreaking moment occured when Heiko Hammel stopped the #19 20 minutes to 16:00 on track. Some gremlins in the Alternator stopped the flying GTI... Man, everybody felt so sorry for the Team around Benni Leuchter as they were the undisputed fastest ones that Saturday.

But this opened up the Podium for the Ringracing Toyo Tires Crew... they pushed, made a perfect last pitsop and completed the 3 Brand Podium VW-BMW-Toyota .. Kudos to the Boxberg Team that had a rough 24hours but can now prepare for Augusts NLS in peace.

to last Week.

Before the Race it is always Groupshot time and this Year the BMW M Motorsport shot was held in the Radillion for all participating Beemers. We had all the important BMW Drivers present, even the ex BMW F1 Testdriver, V12 Le Mans Hero and overall Badass . Mixed in with legends like Lello, Farfus, Pen, HArper, Hesse, Samanthathan and the new kid Kevin Magnussen.. it was a great 40 minutes of BMW goodness.
