How do two similar objects influence each other when they interact?
⠀⠀⠀
This is the fourth image in our abstract series. Like the others, it explores the interaction between two figures that are similar yet distinct. Though made from the same material and sharing a similar shape, they profoundly affect one another, intersecting boundaries and changing how each is perceived. The series as a whole represents the dynamics of relationships, with each individual image capturing a different experience or memory.

The beginning of our journey. We sought for an object to experiment with and develop our artistic style. Flowers were a convenient subject for this purpose. What we didn’t anticipate was how it would evolve into a genuine passion, becoming a significant part of our artistic endeavors.

The weather in Germany has been quite rainy lately. Perhaps this influenced us a bit :) However, as the flowers catch the first rays of light, it seems that the sky is clearing up.

Most of our photography tries to capture different kinds of natural, outdoor light. We aim to recreate this light as accurately and richly as possible. This approach has become the cornerstone of our style and connects most of our work. This photo, however, was the first time we tried something different: simulating indoor light. While the setup changes, our basic thinking stays the same.
We always start by asking ourselves:
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀
•What’s the lighting like? Is it sunny, cloudy?
•What time of day is it?
•Where is the sun (or light source) compared to what we’re photographing?
 ⠀⠀⠀⠀
Only after we have the answers do we start building the scene, paying close attention to every little detail.

We like to experiment with flat geometric forms, combining them with three-dimensional objects like flowers. In our opinion, this creates a nice contrast to the commonly expected plasticity that photography is known for.

A large, solid object is being infiltrated by something small and vastly different. Does the infiltrator have the power to change the object? Will the object resist? Is this change for better or worse?
