Jökulsárlón -

the biggest and deepest glacier lagoon of the island is located in the southeast of Iceland.
It has a small connection directly into the atlantic see, where small icebergs drift into it. Thousands of birds living here, so there’s a lot of traffic between the icebergs. The sound they make is crazy and impressing -

I found a place on the shore for a little chillout. Just sitting here to watch, listen and feel the energy of this magic place. The blue tones of the icebergs, the soft south of the cracking ice and small waves crashing on the bank and the thousands of gulls and other seabirds everywhere. Little sunrays coming out and warming my face.
I feel connected to nature to this place and this endless perfect moment 💙

Do you recognize this moments in nature? Where are your magic places? Any recommendations?

Long time - no see… but finally it‘s getting more easy to travel again, so I have something special to share with you. Since a while, I always wanted to see Iceland. And now September 2021, this time of waiting is over, Iceland I‘m here 😃
And for sure this was just the beginning of a long friendship … here are my first time in Iceland impressions 🇮🇸

Blue tones between Argentina and Chile.
•••
Enjoy this view from the top of the little local mountain Cerro Campanario (300m) of Bariloche in Argentina. It`s perfect to watch the the last sunrays of the day setting behind the mountain range which is the border to Chile.
Everything here is covered in blue tones and filled with the silence of nature. Just the patagonian wind is blowing your hair in every direction.
To enjoy this peaceful sunset you easily take a steep hike just 30 min to the top and then relax on the outdoor deck with a fantastic view on many surrounded lakes and mountains. Just perfect to hang out, have a little patagonian sundowner you`ll get in the small summit restaurant and listen to the wind…
💙

Looks like the end of the world.
~
And indeed it is the end of the world.
You can find this place under the tree at Isla Ma****lo, a little Island full of breeding magellan penguins and a research station for whales.
It’s in Tierra del fuego, close to Ushuaia, the most southern city on earth.
The wind force here is so strong that the lenga trees are formed and pressed into the direction of the wind. That’s why this landscape looks so mystical and you feel as if you were walking on another planet - a planet with lots of space, vastness and of course strong winds.
You can feel the emptiness around you and also inside your mind.
That’s Patagonia - a very special area with only two options: love it or not 💙

Lago Grey - looks like a normal chilean summer day in the national park Torres del paine...
Normal patagonian wind speed around 100 km/h and some Icebergs are swimming around in this glacier lake, which is fed up with ice from the big grey glacier which belongs to the southpatagonian icefield.
The grey color of the lake comes from the glacierwater.
~
As you see, this place is magical... don’t know how long it will exist, because the glaciar is receding due to clima crisis.

Love that blue and that rough place.
Lost my heart in patagonia 💙

Is there a place somewhere in this world where you guys lost your heart?

In times of no travel we all think about our last journeys with a nostalgic feeling... how privileged we all were as we could move everywhere we want to go, anytime.
~
Now is the best time to share some past travel stories and experience our inner journey, to reflect and plan some new adventures. ~
I would to travel to Norway again in summer. Another little roadtrip... But no one knows if that would be possible. ~
This image shows my view on the way back from Kjeragbolten at Lysefjord in Norway. An absolutely stunning hike! You should go for it, when you re there. It‘s worth it 💙
~
What is the place you would love to travel next and as soon as possible?

Goodbye 2019! It was a pleasure!
Thank you for all lessons to learn for all lovely souls I met on my way, for magical moments and sometimes for liberating solitude. This year for me, was not to go out and travel the world. It was more about to have a look inside and start a journey from here.
And next year? Let‘s do both! 😁
To all my friends and lovely people out there: Have a great start into 2020! All my best wishes and good energy for your journeys. Peace and Love 🌈✨💕🍄

The lighthouse Kallur at the northern edge of the island Kalsoy.
To reach this beautiful northern island of the Faroes you have to take a ferry from Klaksvik, don’t miss the last one back, or you have to sleep with the sheepies on the grassland.
The lighthouse is located at the northern most point of Kalsoy. The hike starts at the little village Trollanes. Here are living 19 people and lots of sheepies. The day we visited Kalsoy was magical, it started with blue sky and sunlight - something uncommon at this place. There were just a few people on the ferry and as we reached the island, all people disappeared rapidly, they were in a rush to reach the lighthouse ... For me it was like immersion into another timeline. We stopped at the little street next to the ocean and first thing we did: lay down in the grass full of wild flowers and watch the gulls in the blue sky. We were alone at this gorgeous spot. In our own slowly pace we went forward around the island to Trollanes, were we hiked up to the beautiful lighthouse. As we went up, the others came down... perfect. As you see, the lighthouse was ours.
Finally we found the coolest little kiosk ever in Trollanes. They had one year anniversary so we got selfmade rhubarb crumble and coffee for free.
Perfect day at the edge of the world 🌟

Sunset at the church of Vidareidi. This place is tranquility. You have no problems or anything else in your mind when you relax at the coast of this little village at the most northern island of the Faroes. It was Saturday evening, when we ended up here after a long day of cruising all the northern islands. Some teenagers hang out with their beers, the sun melting down into the open sea. Seabirds flying around, strong northern winds blowing into the waves to crush against the coast. The last warming sunbeams holding me back to get up from the cold rocks and that endless moment of peace in my mind...

This is the coast of Vidareidi - the most northern village at the Faroe Islands. Actually we wanted to hike the mountain Villingadalsfjall which is located directly next to the village. It‘s 844m and the highest mountain on the island Vidoy. But the mountain was completely covered with clouds. So we preferred to stay at the black rock coast and watch the sunset. Just open sea in crazy colors in front of me. And very close, just 600 km away: Iceland.
