What incredible images from this year’s Tour de France! Especially the first-ever finish in Montmartre really shows the potential of a bike race that comes directly to the people, instead of being confined to stadiums with a limited audience. My Insta feed is full of cycling photos with impressive aesthetics – so much has changed in recent years. It’s truly inspiring to see the atmosphere come across so much more vividly than in the usual TV broadcast. Almost 20 years ago, I had the chance to accompany the Tour – three weeks of pure summer with little sleep and the best food. Lifelong memories! And hopefully some usable pictures too. Vive le Tour!
