Hey people,
long time no see.
I don’t really know what to write... at the moment so many things are happening. I am trying to go forward and I give my best. I am into exam mode and don’t have much free time. ☕️📚 but as you know, books are my best friends. So it’s quite fun to learn and practice. Just the exams are annoying... but there are only three left. And then I start practicing Japanese more!
I just wanted to say thank you to .photography for this wonderful picture! Can’t wait to do more! I never thought that it can be so much fun standing in front of the lenses and not behind. XD @ Halle, Saxony-Anhalt

Active listening! 👂
The second step in the language learning guide is active listening.
Listen to the text you decoded last time. During listening read the words in the following oder:
If you know the word, read it in your target language. If you don’t know the word, read it in your mother tongue!
I will make some helpful sheets for you to visualize it and so you can read it again later.

Decoding
Hey everyone, today I want to introduce you into the first step of the Vera Birkenbihl language learning method.
The first step is decoding.
Take a text in your target language an enlarge it so you can write between the lines.
For example:
Today we go to the zoo and visit my grandparents.

Then you translate the words you know word by word into your mother tongue. If you don’t know a word, leave a space. After you translated the text, look for the words you didn’t know in a dictionary.
Morgen wir gehen zu den Zoo und besuchen meine Großeltern.
Dir everyone who is mother tongue in German, I know it sounds super strange. But over this way you easily have an excess to the structure of you target language sentences.
For any visual explanation will come a video tomorrow.
Or check out:

The second step comes tomorrow.

Happy childrensday everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend with your loved ones!
Now after the challenge is over some of you asked that I could recommend some locations to visit here in Germany.
First of all will be my hometown.
Weimar
The city of Goethe and Schiller. But here is so much to explore! If you visit Weimar over the weekend you can join a play at the national theater, visit the Weimar chateau or just walk through the big park with the tiny garden house of Goethe. .
If you have any wishes or ideas, please leave a Kommentar! 👇🏼👇🏼

Day 29 -
It’s the start of week 5!
What are you planning on learning this week?
This week is under the stars of kanji again. I want to finish the second grade kanji drill book and start with the one for grade 3/4! During my study’s I feel like a small Japanese child doing some homework! Love that feeling!
What are your plans for the weekend?

Day 28 -
It’s the end of week 4! What have you learned so far?
That there is so much more I want to learn! It’s so much fun to learn Japanese again! As some of you know, I studied Japanologie during my bachelor. In this time, learning Japanese, was a pain in the ass... it was no fun. I struggled with passing the examinations and it was so hard for me to stay motivated.
But now, with a new goal in sight, it so much more fun!!!
Have you ever thought about learning an other language??
