Back to the Roaring Twenties ✨🥂

From May 14th to May 18th, the MS Europa transformed into a scene straight out of the 1920s for its spectacular Gatsby Cruise.

Elegant dresses, sharp suits, pearls, feathers and champagne vibes everywhere — guests fully embraced the spirit of the Golden Twenties and turned the entire evening into something truly special. 🎷

Even the ship itself became part of the experience: decorated in classic Gatsby style with glamorous details, warm lights and vintage elegance all around the interior.

And honestly the route could not have matched the theme any better: Monte Carlo, Portofino, Calvi, Saint-Tropez, Cannes and Nice — destinations that perfectly matched the elegance and atmosphere of the event. ✨

Moments like these are what make life at sea so unique — every cruise brings different themes, experiences and unforgettable memories on board.

Especially in port the sun can be strong and with the wind you often don’t notice the intensity right away. Protecting your skin is key, even on days that don’t feel that hot.

Living and working on board brings up many questions and we will answer them all! 🚢✨ In our FAQ series we answer your most frequently asked questions about the job, life on board and travelling.

Today it's about: What do the cabins look like on board?
One question that you ask a lot is about CABIN. Do you share a cabin, yes or no? And we have a very clear answer: The photographers and video opertors don't share a cabin. In other words, you have a small, sweet, cute cabin without windows. But that's not a bad thing, because you rarely spend any time in there, except for sleeping.

That means: cabin, bathroom and then another cabin. In other words, you only share the bathroom, so the toilet and shower, with the person in the cabin next to you. In your own cabin you have a normal washbasin, fridge, storage space etc. As I said, it's small, but it's really quite enough.

A maritime classic where Neptune himself comes on board to “welcome” everyone crossing the line with lots of humor, fun, and unforgettable moments, usually right on the pool deck.
