The Last True Luxury Jaguar? 
Jaguar has just unveiled the new Type 01. A fresh start for the iconic British brand. Whether I actually like it or not, I still can’t say. But one thing I do know: Almost ten years ago, I had the pleasure of driving one of Britain’s last great luxury saloons, the Jaguar XJL Autobiography. And to this day, I still find it absolutely beautiful and seriously underrated. 
Produced from 2009 to 2019, the Jaguar XJ (X351) was available with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Engine options included a refined 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel, initially producing 275 hp and later 300 hp with an impressive 700 Nm of torque. Petrol enthusiasts could choose from a range of engines, including supercharged V6 and V8 powerplants delivering up to 575 hp.
But more than anything, the XJ was always the elegant outsider. The car for those who found the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S-Class or Audi A8 just a little too ordinary.
 Its flowing silhouette, extraordinary interior and unmistakably British character still make it special today. Not least because the iconic leaping Jaguar was still proudly displayed instead of being replaced by minimalist lettering.
 As you can probably tell, I still need a little more time to get used to the new Jaguar.

900 hp and luxury starting at €120,000. The Zeekr 9X clearly doesn’t do subtle. 😏 
Its presence alone makes a statement. But does it have what it takes to compete in the luxury SUV league? I took a closer look — watch the video for my first impressions.
