Bringing It All Back Home – Ben Wood Inferno Edition.
In 1965, Daniel Kramer photographed Bob Dylan with a Persian cat, a record collection, and Sally Grossman in a red dress. A small masterpiece of staging
In 2011, we reinterpreted the whole thing for a musical cabaret. With Dylan fan Ben Wood on the sofa, a Jack Russell instead of a Persian cat, Jeff Beck and Elvis on vinyl, and a bit of parsley in red. A seemingly casual arrangement in which nothing is really random. The shoot took place in a shared apartment where, to my knowledge, Uncle Olli also lived.
In 2011, we paid a rather affectionate tribute to one of the most iconic album covers in music history. Cigarette butts, a mess of records, and the psychedelic blur effect included. Less folk, more rock ’n’ roll.
Ben Wood Inferno just dug these photos out of the archives again. A beautiful piece of music and photography history.
