NEW GALLERY UP!
We spotted this small bunker while driving around near our favorite vacation spot, and of course, we had to stop and check it out.
There was no access; the door was welded shut, so there are no photos from the inside. It took me some time to do the research for this place, because there is hardly any information available - but I managed to find out a bit about the history of this small bunker - and it did turn out to be pretty interesting🙂

Here's a short look at a former Soviet Nuclear Weapons Depot at Grossenhain Airfield in Germany. This is a true relic from the Cold War!

Ten years ago, we went to check out a "Bismarck-Tower" in northern Germany, and we were lucky enough to find the steel door open🤩
The condition of the stairs wasn't really promising, but we dard to climb them anyway...and from a height of 22 meters, we did get a wonderful view of the forest and the surrounding lake landscape.
Here are a few newly edited shots from the nice little tour we had that day🙂

During our summer vacation 2020, we explored the so-called "Green School" in the city of Chemnitz. At the time, the school had been abandoned for about 16 years after being closed in 2004. It was really hot summer day, and although we had started our exploration pretty early, the temperature inside rose quickly to well above 30 degrees...

NEW TOUR REPORT UP!
Only three weeks after our first visit, we returned to this abandoned manor house from the 1780s, partially because we liked the place a lot, but mainly because the first time, I had only brought my phone, and I wanted to capture the place again with the camera.

Today, I began editing the photos from a truly unique place🤩 This abandoned "dacha" in eastern Germany was presumably built by a Soviet officer who served in a nearby garrison. The remarkable thing is that the little house was built out of two huge wine barrels - probaly taken from one of the many wineries in the region. There is not much left to see, and climbing up the slope of the hill wasn't too easy, especially since we had our (at the time only 6 months old) puppy with us😂 But the trip was definitely worth it - you don't see a house like that too often🙂

In terms of "Steampunk-Vibes" this abandoned heating plant is still one of my favorite locations. Although heavily decayed and vandalized, the place offered beautiful old gears and some rusty machinery as well. These photos are from my first and to this day only visit to this relic of industrial history almost exactly ten years ago. I'm not even sure if it still exists, but the coal conveyor was listed as a monument, so the place may have escaped demolition...
