The new PTS station at Terminal 1 marks the terminus of the fully autonomous Sky Line train.

Elevated above the new coach station, it connects Terminal 1 with the long-distance railway station and the Sheraton Hotel to form a continuous network of routes. A delicate roof hovers above the approach road, supported by sculptural ‘tree-like pillars’, whilst coach traffic continues uninterrupted beneath it. Transparent walkways guide the way and shorten distances. Infrastructure becomes a place: orientation rather than detours.

The Swiss Bürgenstock Resort near Lucerne has always been a venue for major events.

This is the splendid view over Lake Lucerne, which lies 500 metres below the hotel.

In 1873, Franz Josef Bucher and Josef Durrer purchased the high-altitude Alp Tritt on the Bürgenberg and opened what was then known as the Hotel Kurhaus in the same year.

Hollywood actress Audrey Hepburn, for example, got married at this luxury hotel on Lake Lucerne.
Two years ago, an international conference on Ukraine took place here.

Last Sunday, the US and Iran – or rather, their negotiators – agreed there on the next steps towards a final agreement to end the Iran conflict. Following 18 hours of high-level talks, the mediators, Qatar and Pakistan, announced the conclusion of the first round during the night.

The hotel has been owned by the State of Qatar since 2009.

We were able to photograph and film the hotel in 2017 for our client MA.
That same year saw the start of Donald Trump’s first term in office.
