There are places that leave an Impression very quickly because somehow you feel connected to them. This right here is such a place.
No other people around, just the wild stream, the cathedral like forest and the autumn in all its glory.

Portugal

This rock was a special one, its spiky optically but also physically. It was almost impossible to Walk on it barefoot, razor sharp edges everywhere. But what a wonderful place 😍
Would you have guessed that both images were taken at the same rock? Just different angles and daytimes 😊

Before I dive into autumn I want to share some memories of the summer.
Here is one from high above the sea in Portugal.
I really like the daylight situation here, since the it brings out the blue of the sea so perfectly. This is definetely one of my favorite shorelines in Europe 😍

- Emperors bath -

These abandoned thermal baths, from the 19th century are probably the most majestic I have seen so far. The entrance hall still stands in its former glory and is preserved very well. The wheel chair standing lonesome in the huge hall makes it almost feel like the building is just waiting to be resurrected very soon.

- Leviathan -

This gigantic powerplant is incredible even without its turbines. They got removed soon after it stopped its duty.
Today the boiler house is the most interesting part, not only because almost all the machinery is Left, but also in terms of light and its sheer size. You feel like a dwarf between those leviathans made of rusty steel. This combined with the smell of old metal and oil made this place super intense to explore 😍

- One last dance -

Not much is left of the former glory of this abandoned chateau. In fact the room with a lonesome piano covered in cobwebs is the only chamber you can still enter without risking your life.
But it was a beautiful and calm scenery and definetely worth a visit, before the castle got renovated 😊

- Latrophobia -

Let‘s go on a journey together. A journey into the past. So we make it an urbex week until friday.
Todays series was taken in an abandoned health clinic. Today it looks like straight out of a Horror Movie 😅It almost seems like it was left in a hurry, since almost all the medical equipment was left behind.
Probably abandoned since the 90ies it is in a pretty good condition. Something you won‘t come across too often these days.

Perfect afterglow on this rather unknown beach in Portugal. I really enjoyed beeing on my own in this unreal and awe-inspiring landscape. Just the sea, the shore and the flow state I was in 😊
