Best believe this was the most beautifully curated picnic engagement session I’ve ever photographed in Nuremberg. 😍✨

K. & A. are true foodies, so it only made sense to celebrate this season of their lives surrounded by all their favorite treats. And when I say they came prepared... I mean prepared.

The level of detail K. put into this picnic was incredible. From the styling to the snacks to making sure their little boy had everything he needed, she thought of absolutely everything.

The result? A cozy, joy-filled evening in Nuremberg, full of laughter, cuddles, good food and the sweetest family moments.

These are the kinds of engagement sessions that feel so uniquely them and that’s always my favorite thing to capture. 🤍 Can‘t wait to capture their wedding!

Burg Klopp elopement ✨
S & M chose to get married at Burg Klopp in Bingen completely on their own. Meaning no guests (except me😉) no big wedding, just the two of them. 🤍

There was something so calm and emotional about this day. No pressure, just two people being fully present with each other and celebrating their love in a way that truly felt like them. ✨

I honestly love these intimate weddings so much. They always feel incredibly authentic and personal in the most beautiful way.

R. & J.‘s intimate session on the cliffs felt so effortless and full of emotion. With the ocean below us, the warm Italian sunset and the soft sea breeze, every moment was cinematic in the best way. 🤍

🇺🇸 I don’t think I’ll ever get over how perfect this wedding at Schloss Jägersburg was. It’s truly one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Bavaria. 😍✨ Every wedding here tells its own story, but Shannon and Justin’s day felt especially magical. From the atmosphere to the little details and all the emotions in between, it was simply unforgettable. Most of all, it was about the time they shared with their loved ones.
That’s exactly what matters most to me as a photographer: no rushed posing, just real moments. Thank you WEDDING PLANNER | Katharina Ott for making this possible. ❤️

🇩🇪 Ich glaube, ich werde nie darüber hinwegkommen, wie perfekt diese Hochzeit auf Schloss Jägersburg war. Es ist wirklich eine der schönsten Hochzeitslocations in Bayern. 😍✨ Jede Hochzeit dort erzählt ihre eigene Geschichte, aber der Tag von Shannon und Justin war etwas ganz Besonderes. Die Atmosphäre, die kleinen Details und all die Emotionen haben ihn unvergesslich gemacht. Vor allem ging es um die Zeit mit ihren Liebsten. Some places don’t just hold memories – they hold entire chapters of a love story 🤍

Audrey & Ethan got engaged in Budapest and chose to capture their connection right where it all felt most like them. Their home at that time.

Life has since taken them elsewhere. With Ethan’s career as a professional ice hockey player, they are constantly on the move and no longer live there.
That is exactly why these photos matter so much – they freeze a moment in time they can always come back to 🕊️

This is what engagement photography is all about 📸
Not just beautiful images, but something that stays when everything else changes.

I’m incredibly grateful that these images were awarded 1st place in the category “Best Engagement Shooting” at the 🏆

Still trying to process the last few days… I’m incredibly grateful (and honestly still a bit overwhelmed) to have received the German Wedding Award for Best Engagement Shooting 🤍

I want to thank:
– the whole team behind Wedding Award Germany
– the amazing jury members (like Hochzeitsfotografen-Paar , Jana Merker - Hochzeitsfotografin and many more) and the staff at Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel & Spa Petersberg
– all the couples I’ve had the chance to photograph and those I’ll capture in the future
– my partner Andi, who is the reason I see and capture love the way I do 🤍
– everyone who has supported and wrote me (I received so many incredibly kind messages!!)

This truly means the world to me. 🥹

The entire evening felt so special - almost like the Oscars. I was incredibly nervous and treated myself to a little extra styling for the night by Claudia Gronauer - thank you so much!

It was also such a joy to meet and connect with so many inspiring and talented people from this industry.

I’ll share more from the event in my stories over the next few days, but here’s a little glimpse for now - I mean, my name was on a Walk of Fame star, twice, how cool is that?

And of course, a big congratulations to my fellow nominees - especially Cindy Wolf - cindyfototante - Hochzeitsfotografin and Anna | Wedding Photographer Como · Tuscany · Mallorca · Provence in my category, as well as Sofia Ruff | Wedding Photo & Film and Julia Schiffers - Fotoverliebt who were in the Top 3 for Best Wedding Photographer with me (how crazy is that!!). And to everyone who won - and those who didn’t: being nominated or making the Top 3 is already something truly special and to be proud of! 🥹

Small weddings will always have a special place in my heart. When T. & R. reached out, they said they just wanted a quick visit to the registry office for their yes, then a walk through Nuremberg for their couple photos, and dinner at with their friends and family. 🥹
