The Blackmagic PYXIS 12K has officially been added to the Netflix Approved Camera List.

This means the camera meets Netflix’s capture requirements for approved productions, including standards for dynamic range, resolution, codec performance and workflow compatibility.

PYXIS 12K features a large full frame 12K sensor with a native resolution of 12288 x 8040, wide dynamic range and a built-in optical low pass filter designed to perfectly match the sensor. It delivers precise skin tones, rich organic colors and stunning low noise images in a wide range of lighting conditions.

Its versatile design makes it easy to build the perfect camera rig for your production, with EF, PL and L-Mount models available. The camera also includes dual CFexpress media recorders, Ethernet for Blackmagic Cloud workflows and simultaneous recording of 12-bit Blackmagic RAW and H.264 proxy files.

With the ability to shoot up to 112 fps and use anamorphic lenses uncropped for a true cinematic look, Blackmagic PYXIS 12K combines high-end image quality with flexible production workflows, now officially Netflix approved.
