20 years ago - 2 decades since the attacks of 9/11...
Still remembering every detail of that tragic day when i had to witness the unprecedented assault that changed the world.
In a split second i found myself torn out of the glamorous world of shooting fashion shows and thrown into mayhem.
While the first tower collapsed i was sitting in the subway 2 stops away from the WTC, the second collapsed when i was one block away from Broadway and St. Pauls Chapel.
Rushing into a nearby office building kept me safe and after a long wait inside i started walking back to my hotel on Time Square. I left the area and didn't look back - not until i came back next season in February to realize it really happened.
And every September when i'm back for fashion week the events of 9/11 rise from my memories.
