Can we talk about one of the BEST parts of Christmas photos in the studio?

No weather app. 😂

No freezing kids.

No wind destroying everyone's hair.

No worrying about whether November decides to give us rain, snow, fog, or all three within the same hour.

You come into a warm studio, the Christmas setup is already waiting for you, we take your photos, and then you can go grab a coffee and continue your day.

Christmas Minis will be held November 21st & 22nd in my Pressath studio this year.

€199 + tax | 8 images | two setups to choose from

Message me if you'd like a spot! 🎄

Fall color season is right around the corner, and I wanted to put this out there before everyone’s calendars start filling up.

This will be one of the locations I’ll be offering for fall sessions this year, and I’m already excited to see it covered in all those warm autumn colors again.

Fall is such a short window here. One week everything is green, suddenly the trees are glowing, and then somehow we’re staring at bare branches wondering what happened. 😂 So if you’ve been thinking about updating your family photos this year, now is a really good time to start planning.

Family, maternity, couples, seniors, just because... I’d love to photograph you here.

If you’re hoping for a fall session, send me a message and we can start talking dates, locations, and what you’re envisioning. 🍁

Don’t want to show your children online? No problem! I completely respect your wishes to keep them off social media. This family asked me to only share photos without showing their little one’s face, and just look how beautiful these “faceless” family moments turned out! Perfect for social media, even when you want to keep things private. 😊

Can we PLEASE make senior photos like this more of a thing in Germany?! 😍

I absolutely loved this session. We walked around one of the prettiest little towns, used the colorful buildings, cobblestone streets, the bridge, the castle ruins in the background, and of course had to bring out the cap and gown too. 🎓

Senior photos should feel like more than just one quick picture for the yearbook. This is such a huge transition in life, and I love being able to create a full gallery that actually feels like the person graduating.

Bring the dress you love. Bring the boots. Bring the cap and gown. Pick a location that feels exciting. We can make it elegant, fun, adventurous, or a mix of everything.

And honestly, I would LOVE to photograph more seniors. They’re such a fun change of pace for me, and there are so many incredible locations around Bavaria that are perfect for sessions like this. ❤️

In my last post I shared the story behind this session.

This sweet girl received a devastating diagnosis, and her family was told they may only have a few weeks left with her. So we spent an evening documenting her exactly where she belongs, at home with her people and then outside together on one of their walks. ❤️

And while we were outside, my camera caught this.

A perfectly round rainbow flare right beside her.

If you have ever loved and lost a pet, you probably know about the Rainbow Bridge. The idea that when our animals eventually leave us, they cross over and wait for us on the other side. 🌈

And then I noticed something else about this photo.

She is looking completely away from the rainbow.

I know it is only a photograph. I know exactly how lens flare works. But knowing why we were together that evening, I could not help but look at this and think...

Not yet. She isn't ready to go that way just yet. ❤️

I hope she has many more walks, treats, cuddles and good days ahead of her before that time comes.

For now, she is still right where she belongs. With them.

This was one of those sessions that stays with you. ❤️

This sweet girl recently received a devastating diagnosis, and her family was told they may only have a few weeks left with her.

So they reached out to me for photos.

We kept everything simple and familiar. We photographed part of the session right at home, in the place she knows best, and then went outside for a walk together. She got treats, cuddles, lots of attention, and basically spent the entire session being completely adored.

And even with the reason behind the session, we genuinely had such a good time with her. 🥹

Of course we took the beautiful portraits, but I also wanted to photograph the normal things. The way she looks at them. The way they hold her. Her walking beside them. Her little expressions. The things that feel completely ordinary right now, but will mean so much later.

Pets become such a huge part of our families. They’re there through moves, babies, marriages, hard years, good years, lazy Sundays, and thousands of completely uneventful days that end up meaning more than we realize.

I’m incredibly grateful this family trusted me with something this important.

And if you ever find yourself in a situation like this, please know that you can reach out to me. We can photograph your pet at home, go on their favorite walk, visit their favorite place, or simply document them exactly where they’re happiest.

Because one day, it will be the little things you miss most. The way they looked at you. The way they followed you from room to room. The way they fit into your everyday life.

And I’m so grateful I got to preserve some of those things for this family. ❤️

Forever obsessed with wrapping up these tiny babies and sneaking in a sibling photo whenever I can. 🥹

Newborn sessions are obviously about the newest little member of the family, but I always love including big brothers and sisters too. Those first photos together end up meaning so much later, especially when you realize how quickly both of them are going to change.

The tiny wrapped up baby, the proud older sibling, the little looks between them... I could photograph this stage forever.

And yes, I will probably always be obsessed with a perfectly wrapped newborn. 😂

04/09/2026

I’ve seen a lot of photographers posting over the last few days that they will no longer share images of children because of the growing concerns surrounding AI-generated child se*ual ab*se material.

I’ve read a lot of those posts. I understand where the fear is coming from. I’m a mom before I’m a photographer, and protecting children should always come first.

But I also think it’s okay to have a slightly different perspective.

At this time, I am not planning to stop sharing images of my clients’ children when I have their parents’ permission to do so.

And I want to be very clear about what that means.

I have never believed that hiring me automatically gives me unlimited access to your family’s privacy. If a parent does not want their child shared online, I respect that. Period. I have photographed plenty of families who requested privacy, and their images never appeared on my page.

If you give me permission to share, I may share.

If you do not, I won’t.

I don’t think either choice makes someone a better or worse parent, and I don’t think photographers who continue sharing work with informed parental permission should suddenly be treated as though they don’t care about child safety.

We also have to acknowledge how complicated this conversation has become.

AI is already woven into an enormous amount of the technology people use every day. It exists in editing software, phones, social media platforms, cloud storage, search engines, marketing tools, and countless other programs.

At the same time, children are photographed constantly.

Schools take photos. Sporting events take photos. Stores have cameras. Restaurants have cameras. Doorbells have cameras. Parents upload thousands of images to social media and cloud storage. Apps regularly ask for access to entire camera rolls.

None of that means we should shrug our shoulders and stop caring.

Quite the opposite.

I think we need to become much more educated about where our images go, what companies are allowed to do with them, what permissions we are granting, and how emerging technology is being regulated.

And I think a much bigger part of this conversation needs to happen outside the photography industry.

Technology is moving incredibly fast, and laws protecting children need to keep up with it.

So yes, protect your children.

Ask questions.

Read privacy policies.

Be careful about which apps and programs receive access to your photos.

Demand stronger protections and better laws.

Pay attention to what lawmakers are doing with technology and child exploitation legislation.

And make the decision that feels right for your own family.

If you never want your child’s face posted online, tell me. I will respect it without question.

If you are comfortable allowing me to share a few images from your session, I will continue to be incredibly grateful for that permission because sharing my work is one of the ways families discover my business.

There is room for both choices.

What I don’t think helps is turning photographers against one another or implying that anyone who makes a different decision simply doesn’t care about children.

The people exploiting children are the problem.

The technology being misused is the problem.

Laws that fail to adequately protect children are a problem.

A photographer sharing a family portrait with a parent’s knowledge and permission is not where I personally believe the blame belongs.

So my policy remains the same:

Your children. Your family. Your choice.

And whatever you decide, I’ll respect it. ❤️📸

🎄 Okay, apparently you guys are already thinking about Christmas photos... so I’m jumping ahead this year. 😂

I’ve already had people asking about Christmas Minis, and since I actually have everything planned AND have photos of the setups ready to show you, I figured... why wait?

Christmas Mini booking is officially OPEN! 🎄

This year, I’ll be offering two different Christmas setups in my studio in Pressath. One is a setup many of you already know and love from previous years, and the other is brand new this year.

When you book, you’ll simply choose the setup you love most.

Christmas Minis
🎄 November 21st & 22nd
🎄 €199 + tax
🎄 20 minute session
🎄 8 edited digital images
🎄 Online proof gallery to choose your favorites
🎄 Option to purchase additional images
🎄 Choice of ONE Christmas setup

These will take place entirely inside my storefront studio in Pressath, so no worrying about November weather, freezing kids, rain, or trying to convince everyone to smile while they’re shivering. 😂

My studio is warm, private, and fully equipped, with plenty of space to get everyone ready before your session.

And for my military families, I accept VAT forms as always. 🇺🇸

I’m opening booking right now, so if you already know you want a spot, just send me a message and let me know which setup you’re interested in. I’ll send you everything you need to reserve your time.

I have a feeling November is going to be BUSY. 🎄❤️

I still cannot get over this photo. 😍

Out of all the locations I’ve photographed over the years, this one is still way up there for me. The mountains, the castle, the fall colors, the cows casually hanging out in the field like they were part of the plan... it honestly could not have come together better. 😂🏰

This couple drove all the way to Schwangau for their maternity session, and I remember being SO excited because photographing here had been on my wish list for years. The second I saw this frame on the back of my camera, I knew it was going to end up everywhere.

And, well... it definitely did. 😂

For anyone who doesn’t know, that castle in the background is Neuschwanstein Castle, one of the most famous castles in the world. It was commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria in the 1800s and was designed as his own romanticized medieval retreat. Today, millions of people visit it every year, and it’s also famously associated with the inspiration behind Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. 🏰✨

Knowing all of that makes photographing here even cooler to me. You’re not just getting a pretty mountain backdrop. You’re creating photos in front of one of the most recognizable landmarks in Germany.

And the best part?

I’m heading back there again for another session, and I already cannot wait. 😍 I have so many ideas and I’m ridiculously excited to see what we create this time.

Fairytale Castle Sessions are still one of my absolute favorite options to offer, and photos like this are exactly why.
