(ADAC Air Rescue gGmbH) The Aachen City Region, the Rhein-Maas Klinikum, and ADAC Air Rescue invite you to the ceremony “50 Years of Air Rescue” in the Aachen City Region on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the new Würselen rescue station at the Rhein-Maas Klinikum.

“Against time and for life” - 50 years ago, the sound of air rescue was first heard in the Aachen region. At that time, the distinctive noise of the Bundeswehr helicopter Bell UH-1D Huey announced quick medical assistance from the air. Today, the “Christoph Europa 1,” stationed at Aachen-Merzbrück Airport, provides aerial medical care for the people in the tri-border area with a modern H135 rescue helicopter. On the occasion of this anniversary, ADAC Air Rescue, as the operator of the air rescue station, the Aachen City Region, as the provider of emergency services, and the Rhein-Maas Klinikum, responsible for providing medical personnel, jointly invite you to the ceremony.

Today, we had a rare visitor at Hangelar (EDKB) in Germany for refueling. The aircraft ZH847 arrived from Ingolstadt on its way back to the UK. A big thank you to everyone involved—great teamwork!
