— who says the golden hour has to come before the blue hour? 🌞

usually I chase the last golden rays of sunlight before the sky turns blue and the day slowly fades away. but this time last year in Mainz, I did things a little differently.

Kristina, Chris and I started where most sunset sessions end. in the fading light, with muted colors, deep shadows and that quiet, almost cinematic feeling of blue hour.

and just when everything started to get darker, we brought back a little warmth - not from the sun, but from a handful of sparklers. and suddenly, the light was golden again ✨

the results are a little messy, a little unpredictable, and somehow even more magical 💛

— proof that having a signature style doesn’t mean taking the same photos over and over again 🧡

„your photos are a little dark.“
„why is this one blurry?“
„so you’re more of a moody photographer?“

yep. and that’s kind of the point: I love warm tones, deep shadows, visible grain, a little motion blur and that nostalgic feeling of looking at photographs from another lifetime.

for me, not every photo needs to be perfectly sharp, not every shadow needs to be lifted and not every image needs to look like it was taken on a bright, sunny afternoon. some people love exactly that. some don’t and that’s okay, too.

because here’s the thing: my editing style might be recognizable, but the people in front of my camera never tell the same story. here you see 9 photoshoots, 9 completely different vibes. but one photographer who knows exactly what she loves and looking for people who love the same!

so if you prefer bright, clean and perfectly polished, I might not be your photographer. but if you love a little nostalgia, a little imperfection and a whole lot of feeling - we might just be a perfect match 💌

— I can never really tell you what your couple shoot is going to look like - because I simply don’t know that until it happens.

and that’s kind of the point: of course I’ll come with ideas and we’ll do some of the classic, all-time fav prompts and poses on my long list. but we might also sit spontaneously down somewhere in the grass, try a spiderman kiss just because it pops up in my mind or hike up a random hill because I have a feeling the view might be worth it.

some ideas will work perfectly for you and others won’t - and then we simply move on! because I don’t want to put every couple through the exact same poses just because they worked beautifully for someone else.

I’d rather see how you move together - what makes you laugh, whether you’re more quiet and affectionate or the kind of people who are up for trying something slightly ridiculous. I‘ll never force you to kiss or pick your partner up and spin them around because I‘d much rather have these things come by themselves.

and then there are the things I couldn’t plan even if I wanted to. like a tiny ladybug casually joining Sarah and Lukas’ engagement shoot and immediately getting its own little photo series 🐞

so yes, I’ll guide you. I’ll give you things to do and I’ll probably have a few weird ideas along the way. but there’s no script we have to follow.

we’ll figure out what works for you while we’re doing it 💛🌿

— the party’s over but you’re not quite done yet.

shoes off, bow tie undone, ch*****ne straight from the bottle. no guests, no timeline, no one left to impress. just the two of you, a hotel room and that »we actually just got married« kind of high.

you might think that’s nothing worth capturing? let Sarah and Soufian prove you wrong, somewhere between wedding night and movie scene 🍾🤍

— hi, I’m Anna-Lena. apparently we haven’t properly met in a while 🙋🏽‍♀️

if you’ve been here for some time, you probably know what my photography looks like. you know that I love the inperfect, emotional in-between moments, lots of warmth and grain, artsy frames and wedding days that actually feel like the people celebrating them.

but knowing someone’s work and knowing the person behind it are two very different things, so here’s a little reintroduction including a few things you probably wouldn’t guess from looking at my feed.

and whether you’ve been following me for years or somehow just ended up here: I’m really glad you did! 🥰

now I’ve told you enough about me! please tell me something about YOU I probably don’t know yet 💛

— okay, so I’ve got 5 pictures to convince you 💛

not with perfectly posed moments, not with everything looking flawless. but with photographs that feel like something.

a little messy, a little nostalgic, sometimes blurry, sometimes grainy — but always full of life.

because that’s what I want wedding photography to be:
not just proof of how it looked, but a way back to how it felt.

if that’s your kind of photography, you might wanna stick around 🫶🏻

— maybe memories were never supposed to be perfectly sharp 💭

when I think about a summer evening from years ago, I don’t remember every little detail. I remember the light, the warmth on my skin, a certain color, maybe the way something moved. tiny fragments that somehow stayed.

and maybe that’s why I love photographs on film so much:

not because it makes everything look vintage, because of the grain or the colors. but because somehow, it can make a photograph feel like a memory before it even had the chance to become one 💛

and somehow, they make you feel like you remember being there.

photographed on 35mm film, somewhere between a summer evening in Mainz and a memory 🎞️

— come shoot a destination wedding at beautiful Mallorca with me! 💛

camera bags packed, way too many batteries charged, sunscreen applied and off we go to this dream island where Vanessa and Daniel celebrated their wedding with all their loved ones at charming .

there’s something about photographing a wedding somewhere away from home that just feels different. a new place, unfamiliar light, locations I’ve never photographed before — and absolutely no idea what the day will actually look like until I’m right in the middle of it!

and that might be my favorite part: exploring Mallorca with a camera in my hand, documenting all the little in-between moments, chasing the light and somehow getting to call this my freaking job 🥹 still feels a little unreal sometimes.

here’s a tiny glimpse of what a destination wedding looks like from my side of the camera 💛

— some of my favorite photographs are the ones I could never have planned.

when I met Angela & Jan for their maternity session last summer, the plan was pretty simple: a warm summer evening, beautiful light and a quiet sunset somewhere in the countryside. what we didn’t plan for were the sheep 🐑

we didn’t even know they were there until we stumbled across them near a little farm. and obviously they had to become part of the shoot. what started as a completely unexpected little detour ended up creating some of my favorite photographs from the entire evening.

and I think that’s one of the things I love most about photographing people: I can choose a location, think about the light and have a thousand little ideas in my head — but I never want a shoot to feel like we’re simply working our way through a plan!

because sometimes there are sheep or the light suddenly does something beautiful. sometimes you misunderstand one of my prompts in the funniest possible way and sometimes you do something completely on your own that I could never have directed.

I’ll give you guidance when you need it but always leave enough space for things to just happen, too. because hose little unplanned moments are usually the ones that make your photographs feel like yours 💛
