Bio

Hi, my name is Monalisa and I was born in Brazil. Where I experienced great schooling and was educated at prestigious colleges. In 2012 I met my husband who is German, and was offered a job to work for VW in South Africa. We took the opportunity to live there for 5 years. During this time, I decided to enroll myself into Nelson Mandela University and studied photography which I passed with cm laude. While working for the University Newspaper in South Africa, I gained a lot of experience in photography, during this period I also had the honour to facilitate a photography workshop organised by Mandibaz News, and was awarded Photographer of the Year in 2017.

I have the ability to work in studio and use studio lights & other equipments, as well as handle natural light in outdoors shootings. I’m also Photoshop and Lightroom skilled and I’m just out of university, which makes me fresh to what is current in the photography world and super eager to work what I have learned - I have photographed a few subjects during my school years (2014-2017). Portraiture in general (from corporate to creative portraits) and fashion editorials are the highlight subjects. I speak a few languages, being them, Portuguese, Spanish, English and I am working on my German. Deadlines and communication have never been an issue.

In 2018 my husband and I moved back to Germany where I have started my own business.
