Extraordinary weekend hours! Come say hi and see Silver Lab. We’ll be processing film, showing our darkrooms, talking slide film and shooting some large format. This is a good chance to see our space, especially for those of you who have never been here before. Come through!

*NEW OPENING HOURS* For a long time people have been asking us to stay open longer so they can make it by after work. So we are proud to announce our new opening hours! We are both focusing our energy, so we can give great service (and have cool demos and talks, stay tunes) as well as expanding service, with our 24/7 service point for both dropping off and picking up your film, and ordering supplies as well.

The new times start already next Tuesday, so come and say hi until 18 already next week!

The service point is up and running, so you can drop by and use that, more info also to follow next week.

The heart of Silver Lab is our three dip & dunk developing machines. Everyday we dance to their beat. They provide the rhythm that keeps everything going.

These machines were made by the danish company Refrema up until the early 2000’s. Refrema was known world wide for their top of the line quality. Some even called them the Rolls Royce of developing machines. The results are superior because of the dip & dunk process, in which there are no mechanical parts touching the film.

Every month we develop thousands of rolls of film at our Lab. We can handle all standard processes in all standard formats, including 8x10. We can also supply standard and specialty chemistry if you want to try things out for yourself at home. We are always happy to guide and help you out to make any project a success.

Last October we had the pleasure of hosting our first darkroom resident through the wonderful Nordic Analog Network, and it was a blast! Iceland based artist Claudia Hausfeld worked in our darkrooms for three weeks. Experimenting in the color darkroom and producing an edition in the b&w darkroom. We are already looking forward to the next resident this year.

We owe a special debt of gratitude to CoCo Hotel, who generously sponsored housing for Claudia during her stay. The hotel is beautiful, and we had a fantastic goodbye dinner at their restaurant Cofoco, which was absolutely delicious. Thanks to everyone who helped this residency become a success!
