NEW STORY PUBLISHED TODAY... We've been riding though central Mexico on top of the freight train known as 'The Beast', been harassed by the migration authorities who fired warning shoots... and confiscated material....In the border town of Ciudad Juárez we narrowly escaped a car chase after documenting the cartels activities along the border... YET, our struggles are NOTHING compared to what families from Latin America are going through while trying to reach the US-border.... Here's our report (part 1+2 of 4) Published in Politiken Today!!

New portraits with NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg... at his residency in Brussels.
Mr. Stoltenberg clearly remembers the intense phone call with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy in the early hours of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022:
“…He's inside a bunker. The Russians stand on the outskirts of Kyiv. Locals are making molotov cocktails and preparing for street battle."

President Zelenskyy is urging Stoltenberg:
"You must close the airspace. NATO must make a no-fly zone over Ukraine.”

But it's a no. NATO won’t risk escalating the conflict further, Stoltenberg tells the President.

President Zelenskyy is frustrated:
"I thought it was Russia that should be afraid of NATO. Not NATO, which should be afraid of Russia...."

1st. prize Daily Life Story.

My ongoing, (and until now) unseen and unpublished) work about the Mexican cårtels have just received this great award. A travelling exhibition in underway. The story is part of my coming book 'SANGRE BLANCA - THE LOST WAR ON CØCAINE'.

"Mexico in the Grip of the Cårtels.

Central America's criminål organizations are becoming stronger and stronger, with enormous consequences not only for Latin America but also for the security of the United States and even Europe. The core of their economy is extortion, immigration, and the growing drøg trade with crystål m**h, cøcine, and the chemical fentånyl – the primary cause of death among young American men.

The illegål drøgs are mainly smuggled into the EU and the USA, with the obvious challenges this brings, but the intensified cartel wars between the Sinaloa Cårtel and the CJNG (Cårtel Jalisco Nuevo Generation) among others, are also causing so much insecurity, violænce, and ultimately poverty that it is leading to huge waves of immigration.

Vast tracts of land across South and Central America are already completely in the grip of the cårtels, and if nothing changes, entire countries may soon fall."

LAST DAY / 🏳️‍🌈❤️💪🏽 / My WPP winning image of Jon and Alex is now available as part of the Magnum Photos / World Press Photo print sale. Until Sunday, October 22, 23:59 EDT.

Jon and Alex in an intimate moment. St Petersburg, Russia, 2014.

“Pavel was attacked right in front of me — a militant homophobe punched him in the face. I was a witness, but I knew I also needed to act. With my camera, I began a story on the new wave of homophobia in Russia, trying to really understand what it feels like to be LGBTQI+ under Putin’s regime. I documented Pride events, where violent attacks took place, the police brutality, the injustice in the courthouses. The stigma. The fear. But som**hing was missing in my work, and in my notebook I wrote, ‘Look for LOVE.’ And then one night I met Jon and Alex. We had a few beers and shared our stories. The sparks were flying between them, and as they were about to go home, I asked if I could come along — to witness their love.”
