Over the last four days, the entire Danitacom team, together with our Board of Directors, spent time in for our annual team retreat in Italy.

This fall, Southern Italy was our sunny and warm setting for stepping away from our daily routines and spending some time strengthening Danitacom’s ties.

Between seafood dinners, an artisanal pasta workshop, and a guided tour of Bari’s old town, which brought us closer as a team, we also dedicated a big part of these days to something more challenging: thinking about the future of the Chamber.

We took the time to look clearly at where we are today and brainstorm where we want to go from here. How can we foster our role in connecting Denmark and Italy? What are our clients and partners struggling with today? And where could Danitacom provide better answers?

We shared what we experience in our daily work, compared perspectives, and discussed how we can support Italian and Danish companies and professionals more precisely when approaching each other’s markets.

And we tried to look a little further ahead too: at the trends that could shape our work tomorrow and the challenges our clients might not even know they will face yet.
It was intense and required creativity and energy. Fortunately, we always worked supporting and listening to each other, and fortunately, there was a pool nearby to cool our brains down after the sessions 💦

We are coming back with plenty to work on, and hopefully, some of those ideas will soon turn into something you can see too.

🍷 In one of Copenhagen’s most iconic squares, the Italian Wine Festival brought together wine lovers and industry professionals for four days of wine tastings and business meetings.

Taste of Italy, organized by Arte del Vino Eventi&Fiere and Tipico Eventi, brought more than 150 small Italian wineries to Denmark, keen to discover the preferences of the Danish market and meet the local public.

Every day included a session dedicated exclusively to sommeliers, importers, restaurants, distributors, and buyers.
A more focused setting where producers and professionals could exchange expertise, understand what the market is looking for, and find the right bottles to introduce to Denmark.

Many of the wineries, indeed, did not export to Denmark yet; so, the event was a first moment of contact and a chance to show how relevant their work is in the Italian wine landscape, despite usually being small businesses.

All five senses were involved: the view of the elegant 17th-century surroundings; the sips of the different wines; the lively sound of people getting to know each other; the perfume of Italian delicacies accompanying the wine tastings; the handshakes and the business cards exchanged.

Taste of Italy blended what wine does particularly well: pleasure, culture, and business.

Together with a delegation of professionals from the Netherlands, participants will experience a packed programme of 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀, 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝟮𝗕 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 and 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘀.

🚲 A good example of complementarity between two markets!
Last weekend, Denmark and Italy met directly on a MotoGP World Championship track to talk about bikes and urban mobility.

We organized a small Scandinavian delegation of hosted buyers to visit the International Bike Festival (IBF), ’s trade fair dedicated to the bike industry.

IBF offered the opportunity to meet over 600 brands and preview and test the latest products on the market in a rather fun way: using the Misano World Circuit and the surrounding area to really try out everything connected to road, gravel, MTB, and e-bike🚴

IBF was also a chance for the entire business community to connect with fellow cycling enthusiasts and get a sense of the needs and trends shaping the future of the sector.
Among them? Of course, , electric two-wheelers for greener urban mobility, and the growth of cycle , which fits particularly well with Italy and its diverse landscapes, offering plenty of opportunities to develop this increasingly popular way of travelling.

For Danitacom, this was our first collaboration with IBF, and one that we believe has great potential: bringing together the quality of the Italian bike industry with one of the most cycling-oriented markets in the world.

A pretty natural match between Italy and Denmark. 🇮🇹🤝🇩🇰

But how much potential does it still hold for the Danish travel market?

After discovering Italy’s best-known destinations, more and more Danes are looking further: towards authentic places, far off the main mass-tourism routes, still treasures of social connections and local traditions.

🍷 TASTE OF ITALY
The Italian Wine Festival

10–13 September 2026 | Kongens Nytorv, Copenhagen

Discover and meet more than 100 small Italian wine producers from different regions of Italy and get to know their stories, their territories, and their wines up close.

The Festival is open to everyone (🎟️ 300dkk tickets available on the spot) but is FREE for importers, distributors, restaurateurs, wine shops, sommeliers, buyers, and industry professionals.

The Festival offers the chance to:
● Discover winemakers from different Italian wine regions
● Have direct meetings with owners and decision-makers
● Taste native grape varieties and artisanal production
● Build new connections and explore potential business collaborations

Taste of Italy was created to give visibility to producers who often remain outside the major international wine circuits, yet represent an authentic and valuable part of Italy’s winemaking culture.

Through this project, we aim to build a bridge between these producers and the Danish market, encouraging direct relationships with industry professionals.

Danitacom participated in Skolernes Erhvervsdag, an initiative designed to strengthen the connection between education and the labour market 🤲

The event, which took place in , brought schools and companies together to exchange perspectives on how students can gain a better understanding of different professions, experience working environments firsthand, and approach their future choices with greater awareness.

For Danitacom, this dialogue is particularly relevant. Through projects, we regularly connect education, international mobility, and the business community, welcoming students, teachers, and school staff from Italy and supporting their experiences in Denmark.

The discussions highlighted the importance of giving young people more than a glimpse into working life. Hands-on experiences can turn theory into practice, encourage responsibility and help students recognise their own abilities and possibilities.
At the same time, companies have the opportunity to share their knowledge and actively contribute to the development of future generations, while gaining fresh perspectives and new ideas.

The event was another valuable reminder that cooperation between schools and companies can build a meaningful bridge between education and working life ✨

🏃‍♀️ Running shoes on, laptops off!

Once again, this year too, the Danitacom team joined DHL Stafetten in Copenhagen. Directly from the office, the team enjoyed an afternoon of sport, open air, food, and some well-deserved time together.

Some of us ran 5k, some walked, and everyone made it to the finish line! And, as always, the best part wasn't the kilometres themselves, but everything around them: encouraging each other along the way, sharing some laughs and ending the evening together over dinner.

DHL Stafetten is one of those occasions that reminds us that being a team is not only about collaborating in the office, but it is also about enjoying the time we spend as a team outside our everyday routines.
Moreover, it was the perfect occasion to reconnect after the summer holiday and boost team spirit for the months to come!

Kudos to everybody who, even if a little tired, happily shared another finish line✨
