The "Haldi Haath" tradition is a beautiful pre-wedding ritual that is part of the Garhwali culture in India. "Haldi" refers to turmeric, which is considered auspicious and has great significance in Indian weddings.

During the Haldi Haath ceremony, a paste made from turmeric, sandalwood, and other beneficial herbs is applied to the hands and feet of the bride and groom. This paste is believed to cleanse and purify the couple, preparing them for their upcoming union. It is also said to bring radiance to their skin.

The Haldi Haath ceremony is typically held separately at the bride's and groom's homes. Family and close friends gather to bless the couple, celebrate, and apply the turmeric paste to their hands and feet. It is a joyous occasion filled with music, dance, and laughter.

Apart from its symbolic and spiritual significance, the Haldi Haath ceremony is also a fun and playful event. Family members often apply the turmeric paste to each other's faces as a gesture of love and good luck.
