Planning a wedding in Punta Cana? Here are a few things couples often discover too late…

After photographing many destination weddings here, we’ve learned that a few small details can make a huge difference when planning your wedding in the Caribbean.

Here are some things we always tell our couples:

✨ Resorts may charge outside vendor fees
Some resorts charge a fee if you bring your own photographer or videographer. In some cases, booking a guest room for your vendor can avoid that cost.

✨ Ceremony timing matters
In Punta Cana the light changes a lot during the day. Late afternoon ceremonies usually create softer, more romantic photos.

✨ Beach conditions change during the year
The Caribbean is beautiful year-round, but ocean conditions can vary depending on the season and location.

✨ Reception times can be limited
Many resorts have specific times when outdoor music must end.

✨ Destination weddings involve more logistics than expected
Guest travel, room blocks, and transportation are important details that take time to coordinate.
