Day 24:

There’s something about holding on—it keeps memories alive, like pressing flowers in a book, hoping they’ll never fade. But some things aren’t meant to stay, no matter how tightly you grip them.

Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting. It means cherishing what was, while making space for what could be. It’s the bittersweet ache of watching a sunset, knowing the night will come, yet trusting the dawn will follow.

Somewhere in the in-between, we find the beauty of what it means to truly live

Day 18: Letting go is its own quiet strength—not a surrender to weakness, but an embrace of the truth that I don’t have to carry everything alone. It’s releasing the weight of proving I can handle it all, knowing that softness can hold its own kind of power.

Accepting help feels like a tender act of trust, a reminder that letting someone in doesn’t diminish me but expands me. It’s the realization that strength isn’t just in standing tall—it’s in leaning, in allowing others to steady me when I falter. Courtesy of a convo with of

Asking for community feels like love in motion—a whispered, “I need you,” offered with hope. It’s a vulnerability wrapped in courage, an invitation for connection, and a promise to myself that I am worthy of being seen, held, and supported.

In letting go, in asking, in trusting, I find a softer, more romantic kind of strength—a love story between me and the bonds I allow myself to create.

Incredibly, this image from my Fireescapism series (2020) continues to hold its magic and finds its way into exhibitions. I’m so grateful to for showcasing this piece and for their unwavering support in encouraging artists to create and thrive.

Do you think it’s time for my series to come to life in a new way? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I’m so grateful to have been part of The Meaning of Place exhibition, co-curated by Cathleen Campbell and Rafaela Luna of . Though the show has come to a close, the experience of collaborating and sharing space with so many incredible artists will stay with me.

A special thank you to Kota Alliance, a local organization dedicated to empowering women in West Harlem, NYC, and around the world. It was an honor to be among 22 talented female and nonbinary artists from Harlem sharing our work with the world.

I’ll leave you with this powerful quote from co-curator Cathleen Campbell:
“Only art heals at such a direct and powerful level. Artists have an important role of what to do in the next four years … not just protecting our own identities that are besieged, we’re going to have to reach across the aisle in a corny way and allow people to learn things.”

Thank you to everyone who supported, engaged with, and connected over this meaningful work!
