What would you say if someone invited you to stay a full night on a pantheon surrounded by unknown people and death? Well, I said yes. Got to properly experience and document día de mu***os in Mexico this past days. And as traveling has teach me so much about how to live life in a better way, this time is teaching me how to honor death in a better way. We’ve been treated so well by beautiful Oaxaca people. Locals would invite you home to have dinner with them multiple times after knowing you just for 5 minutes. Entire families would be open to happily share their story and why they are there. And of course we had a ton of local Mezcal.
Locals would honor their fallen family members by decorating their graves the most beautiful way possible and fulfill them with the things they liked while they were alive. There they spend the whole night until sunrise just to be able to share another day with their fallen loved ones. Until the last candle turns off. One outstanding experience that I would for sure recommend anyone to have at least once in their life 💀🎊🖤🙏

Qué dirías si te invitan a pasar toda la noche en un panteón lleno de gente desconocida y muerte? Pues yo dije que si.
Hace unos días, tuve la oportunidad de vivir y documentar Día de mu***os en Mexico como debe ser. Y cómo viajar me ha enseñado tanto de cómo vivir de mejor manera, esta vez me ha enseñado cómo honrar a la muerte de mejor manera. Los locales nos trataron de una manera increíble, compartiéndonos de su comida, historias, experiencias y por supuesto, mucho mezcal. Ahí, honran a sus familiares toda la noche al decorar de la forma más bonita su tumba, junto con llenarlos de cositas que les gustaba en vida. Se junta toda la familia a pasar toda la noche hasta el amanecer, solo para poder compartir con sus seres queridos, una noche más, así sea a la distancia. Hasta que la última velita se apague. Una experiencia, que le recomiendo muchísimo a todos tener al menos una vez en la vida 💀🎊🖤🙏
