Most people would say 35mm is the street photography lens. I partially agree with that; however, I've been attached to 85mm for streets for a long time already. Something about that focal length just works for me. This one is from Brightin Star, their 85mm f/1.8. I've been using it in different places, a public event, a sunflower field, and now the streets of Tartu. Portraits are next on the list. So far, it's been delivering exactly what I hoped for.

Tallinn old town just before dark. The streets were quiet, the light was soft, and I kept stopping every few steps because something caught my eye. That's the thing about this city, it doesn't need to try. You just walk and it gives you frames.

Shot all of these on the 35mm f/2.2 from SG-image. It's become one of those lenses I grab without thinking. Small enough to carry anywhere, sharp where it needs to be, and the way it blends things out of focus is just really satisfying. Feels like it was made for walks like this.. 🚶📸🏰

Spotted these sunflowers on the side of the road during the last sunny days of August and couldn't just drive past. September in Estonia means the real sun is about to become a rare guest, so I'm holding onto these while they're still here 😅

Shot with the 85mm f/1.8 from Brightin Star . The autofocus earned its keep on this one, quick and spot on, because sunflowers don't pose forever 🌻

The Night of Ancient Lights here in Estonia 🔥🇪🇪 Bonfires along the coast, originally lit to guide seafarers home, now a symbol of connection to the sea and the end of summer.

Felt right to be there with the 85mm f/1.8 from Brightin Star . One of my favorite focal lengths and it handled everything, the fire, the faces, the stage.

Plus Smilers were playing. My favorite Estonian band, just there, in the middle of it all. The lens got a proper workout. And I got a proper evening.

What do you do when you arrive in Estonia?🇪🇪 Hit the old town? 🏰 Check out the museums? 🏢 Spend hours in the center? None of that for me. I went straight to one of the bogs, the kind of place where my lungs actually remember what air tastes like. There's something about walking through those wooden paths, nothing but sky and water and silence around you. It's where you feel small in the best way possible.

These amazing drone shots by my friend Mladen Tarkolev , he captured the scale of it in a way my feet never could. And these ground shots? All on the 35mm f/2.2 from SG-image. Compact enough to carry through a bog without complaining, stylish enough to make me want to shoot everything, and the image quality, just beautiful. Crisp where it needs to be, soft where it matters, with a character that makes every frame feel like it has something to say.

Trakai. Always wanted to visit this place. Finally made it happen. And then, rain, cold, a parking machine that wouldn't work, and dinner that was just... meh. Not exactly the visit I'd been imagining all this time 😅 But honestly? I'll come back here next summer. This place deserves a fair shot, and I'm willing to give it one 📸

Krakow. Third Polish city I've visited, and still nothing but good things to say. I honestly could've spent days just walking around here, and I almost did. Every street felt worth exploring, every corner had something interesting. Poland's been treating me well so far. Krakow just added to that. If you think your city can top this, drop the name in the comments. I'm taking notes for the next trips 📝 😀🚗

Seems like Budapest is my comfort city, the one I keep coming back to, no matter where I'm headed. On my way to Tallinn this time, skipping it just didn't feel right. A long walk through the familiar streets, a delicious dinner, and, as always, the unavoidable motorway traffic jam on the way in or out. It wouldn't be a proper Budapest stop without all three 🇭🇺🚗🛣️📸🍲

Zemun is basically a 'city within a city.' Locals will proudly say they're 'going to Belgrade' even though Zemun is technically part of it, it's got its own vibe, its own rhythm, and a fierce sense of identity that's totally separate from the capital across the river. And the name itself? It comes from the old Slavic word zemunica, which means a house built into the ground, because the very first settlements here were literally carved into the loess hills along the Danube. So yeah, this place has been digging its own path, literally and figuratively, for centuries!
