Perseids Meteor Shower over Egyptian Sands

This is the combined work of over 6 hours of continuous photography from 3 different cameras. Rough night that started with a sand blizzard and patches of clouds all night. Foreground was imaged during blue hour from same spot. Final image was composed to include the major meteors captured during the night.

North American Nebula in SHO/LRGB

This combined integration captures a dramatic and detailed portion of the vast cosmic landscape known as the North American Nebula (NGC 7000). Rendered in an vibrant SHO (Hubble Palette) style, the nebula reveals its complex and ethereal structure.

LRGB data was used to make the stars as Narrow data was superior to LRGB data!

Into the Galactic Core

Standing on the edge of a dune in the Egyptian desert, reaching out toward the galactic core. This image is a blend of time from a single perspective: the foreground was captured during the calm, cool tones of blue hour as a friend walked the ridgeline. Without moving the camera, I waited for true darkness to capture the sky. By stacking multiple 30-second exposures, I was able to pull out the incredibly faint dust lanes, star clusters, and nebulae hiding in the dark. It’s a reminder of just how small we are when looking up to the sky.

Under the Cosmic Canopy: The Desert and Galaxy

Lost in the cosmic vastness. Standing on the dunes of the Al Fayoum Desert oasis, miles away from any city lights, the night sky truly comes alive. The brilliant core of the Milky Way arching over the quiet desert is a humbling reminder of our place in the universe.

Image is a composite of the milky way core rising over a desert dune in Al Fayoum with my local friend standing right under the galactic arm gazing at its beauty. Both sky and foreground images were taken same night and from same position.
