Ekspressions - Anand Sangam

It was truly a privilege to host Kathak Aayaam in San Diego on Aug 5th, 2018.

Kathak Aayaam had performances by Sangeet Natak Academy award winner and the most renowned Kathak dancer- Guru of Jaipur Gharana , Pt Rajendra Gangani Ji and his senior disciple Swati Sinha ji.

San Diego's very own Meenal Chakradeo, disciple of Guru Shambhavi Dandekar, opened the program with her Kathak solo. She was later joined by her students for the finale performance of the first half.

Performances by Guru ji and Swati ji in the second half left the audiences spell bound. Program was full of Standing ovations, cheers and once more requests from the audiences.

We thank Guruji and Swati ji for enriching our lives with their art.

An architectural marvel by Gaudi which draws inspiration from nature. The pillars look like tree trunks, starting out wide with narrower branches on top.

When La Sagrada Familia is completed, it will have 18 towers. 12 of the towers will represent the apostles, four of them will represent the evangelists, one will be designated for the Virgin Mary, and the last one, the highest one in the middle, will represent Jesus Christ.

We plan to revisit in 2026 when the construction is expected to complete.

One of the many unique tapas we experienced in Seville, Spain. This was at a popular local joint ESLAVA. The award winning 'Slow cooked Egg over boletus cake with caramelized wine reduction' was a medley of flavors that lived up to the hype.

The underground garden Doña María de Padilla’s Bath at Royal Alcazar, Seville. This is where GoT season5 water garden of Dorne was shot.
As a photographer, this shot transports me to the Royal Alcazar, isn't that what we we strive for?

Constructed between the 13th and 15th century this cathedral is a prime example of Gothic Architecture.

The Cellar - Robert Mondavi Winery, Napa, CA

The signature tour gives you access to the underground cellar at the Robert Mondavi Winery. We were lucky to see the cellar at its capacity creating a visually stunning symmetry.

Travel Tip: At crowded tourist locations shoot over people's head to remove distractions and bring attention on the primary subject. This is the trick I used for this shot.

Dramatic post sunset shot at San Clement pier

A 20min wait after finishing a sunset shoot at San Clemente, CA beach paid off. This scene is captued with 317sec of shutter speed which brings out all the complex colors and patterns in sky. The extremly slow shutter speed helps capture a scene which a human eye can never experience.
