Sigamos creando, ayudando y soñando junt@s

Morocco on the Road: A Journey Through Colours, Light, and Soul. 📷🌞

At the end of June, I set out on a road trip across Morocco — a country that never fails to stir my senses. From the red glow of Marrakech to the blue-and-white calm of Essaouira, the long waves of Imsouane and the wild shores of Sidi Kaouki — this road trip was pure magic. Colours that burn into your memory, scents that linger in the air, people whose warmth stays with you. Morocco is not just a place to see, it’s a place to feel. Every corner hums with colour, scent and texture. For a photographer, it’s a never-ending story — and with each visit, I find another chapter waiting to be told.

Morocco on the Road: A Journey Through Colours, Light, and Soul

At the end of June, I set out on a road trip across Morocco — a country that never fails to stir my senses. My route wound from the vibrant heart of Marrakech, through the coastal charm of Essaouira, to the serene surf haven of Imsouane, and finally to the windswept beaches of Sidi Kaouki.

Marrakech greeted me with its familiar whirlwind of life — the deep reds of the medina walls glowing under the afternoon sun, the labyrinth of souks spilling with spices, leather, and intricate crafts. The air was thick with the scent of cumin, saffron, and freshly baked bread, a sensory embrace that reminded me why I keep returning.

From there, the road stretched west to Essaouira, where the Atlantic breeze carried the sound of seagulls and the salty tang of the ocean. The blue-and-white walls of the old town felt like a living painting, a contrast to the earthy tones of Marrakech. I wandered with my camera, capturing fishermen mending their nets, and cats lazily sunbathing on doorsteps.

In Imsouane, time slowed. Surfers chased the long, gentle waves while the sun dipped low, turning the water into liquid gold. The stillness was intoxicating — a place where you could lose hours just watching the tide breathe.

Finally, Sidi Kaouki — wild, untamed, and stretching endlessly towards the horizon. Camels padded along the shore, their silhouettes etched against the fading light. I found myself breathing deeper here, as if the ocean itself was reminding me to slow down.

Morocco is not just a place to see, it’s a place to feel. Every corner hums with colour, scent, and texture. For a photographer, it’s a never-ending story — and with each visit, I find another chapter waiting to be told.
