Last year a lot happened 🌀
For starters I'm happy to announce Escape was part of the Official Selection at Theta Short Film Festival in Italy
In 2025 Escape was selected at festivals in Spain, Argentina and Italy. Hopefully this year it can premiere in Mexico as well 🇲🇽
In this new poster I wanted to share some of the sequences of the film, showing the lines traced by the motion of the body .
This was the second sequence I started drawing, back in 2016. That's when I decided to do 24 drawing per second and defined the visual approach⚡
It lasts only 17 seconds, but I had to break it down for transformations, transitions and narrative. Only drawing the front character (Gaby) took me 2 months, and the sequence was finished until 2021, when the exit transition was solved.🌌
The elephant scene was solved at the end, in 2025. For 7 years it was a giraffe but the acting and size didn't convince me, so I ended up with an elephant using the final drawing style -
not contouring the whole shape but only some parts, looking kind of abstract🦒🐘
