Remembering Masaniello.
Today my friend Felicia sent me this photo I took during my very first months in Barcelona.
He wasn’t just my dog — he was the purest, most beautiful presence in my life.
Some souls leave paw prints so deep in your heart that time can never erase them.
I miss him every single day. 🖤

A forgotten roll of film, left suspended in time.
Then drowned in lemon, curry, vinegar, tea —
as if memory itself could ferment, stain, and bloom differently.

Barcelona returned through chemical ghosts:
the rooftop horizon from my first flat,
Mercat de Sant Antoni breathing under melted light,
and Masaniello curled into silence like an old secret kept warm.

Film Soup always feels less like photography
and more like excavating dreams from damaged matter.
The emulsion cracks, colors bleed, accidents speak.
What was forgotten becomes visible again.

Not documentation.
A memory dissolving beautifully. 🎞️✨

I didn’t get here by following a linear path.
I come from the dance floor—sweat, repetition, bass pressure—where techno taught me to dissolve into the rhythm. That was the first language my body understood.
Over time, that beat split.
Now I exist in two sonic states.
One side of me fluctuates—slow, material, almost formless.
Ambient, experimental, noise, drone.
Breath instead of rhythm. Space instead of structure.
Tibetan instruments, dilated beyond time, vibrating in a place deeper than sound.
The other side is still anchored to impact.
Techno in all its variations—raw, hypnotic, broken, pressing.
Frequencies that move bodies, that freeze you in motion, that remind me where I started.
It’s not a conflict.
It’s a coexistence.
Like this image: two versions of me meeting on the surface, touching, reflecting, but never merging into one.
Right now, I live in that reflection. Divided, yet aligned.

Non sono arrivata qui seguendo un percorso lineare.
Vengo dalla pista da ballo – sudore, ripetizione, pressione dei bassi – dove la techno mi ha insegnato a dissolvermi nel ritmo. Quella è stata la prima lingua che il mio corpo ha compreso.
Col tempo, quel battito si è diviso.
Ora esisto in due stati sonori.
Un lato di me fluttua – lento, materico, quasi informe.
Ambient, sperimentale, noise, drone.
Respiro al posto del ritmo. Spazio al posto della struttura.
Strumenti tibetani , dilatati oltre il tempo, che vibrano in un luogo più profondo del suono.
L’altro lato è ancora ancorato all’impatto.
Techno in tutte le sue varianti – grezza, ipnotica, spezzata, incalzante.
Frequenze che muovono i corpi, che ti bloccano in movimento, che mi ricordano da dove sono partito.
Non è un conflitto.
È una coesistenza.
Come questa immagine: due versioni di me che si incontrano in superficie, si toccano, si riflettono, ma non si fondono mai in una sola.
In questo momento, vivo in quel riflesso. Diviso, ma allineato.

Wales, stepped in shadow and memory
where light seeps through like a half - remembered dream.
These frames, bruised by time and chemistry, carry the ghost of rain coal, and quite voices
a village dissolving at the edges, a pub sign flickering trough emulsion scars
A street bending softly under the weight of history.
Film soup stains the moment , like weather stains the land, unpredictable, imperfect, alive.
Nothing here is clean,
Nothing untouched and that’s where the truth lingers.
