I am prime lens shooter forever, but recently i bought tamron 35mm-150 mm zoom lens( in video i wrote incorectly 35-135).
I tested it in very rainy day in Rosamar, what apeared to be amazing place for portrait shoots, so i will definetly return there again in better weather and also with my underwater case, cause water was transparent and full and fish and all the interesting stuff.
So i started with some landscape, also using slow ss, what worked well despite no tripode and super heavy weight. Autofcuss test was not bad either, so you can see some portraits of myself, taken by Erik, who is not used to use heavy lense, and autofocuss with focus spot, and did quite good job.
I also tried some portraits, thou the weather was not amazing, i had sometroubles with colors, but i think its because of weather, not lense, so i desaturated quite a bit, othervise a lot of yellowish and orange tone everywhere.
Acording on blur, this thing has 2.0 to 2.8 aperture, so its not comparable with my creamy 135mm 1.8 sigma, but overall for zoom lense it was not bad.
I shoot couple videos, also despite its heaviness was not that bad results(has not stabilization inside, thou my camera has it), and also as Juanito got some fish finally i could try some macro shots, what is very far from desired, but well, still can be used to take pictures of some not big objects, like food, or rings etc.
Overally I will be using it a lot, thou i will keep my primes with me too, maybe not so many anymore, couse with this thing can cover all imaginable portrait shoots. I think with other 24mm for wider ones and my favorite 135mm sigma i am fully covered now:)
