LANTZEKO INAUTERIAK
Tradizio handiko inauteria da. Ongiaren eta gaizkiaren indarrek elkarren kontra egiten dute hainbat egunetan zehar. Bataila sinboliko horretan, zuzentasun egarriak herriaren haserreak justifikatzen ditu.
Inauteri astearte bakoitzean, Miel Otxin lapur mitiko eta gaiztoa harrapatu, epaitu eta sutara botatzen da Lantz herri txikian. Panpina 3 metrokoa da, atorra estanpatua, praka urdinak eta gerriko gorria janzten ditu eta txano koniko ikusgarria darama buruan; besoek gurutzearena egiten dute.
Horretaz gain, pertsonaia hauek osatzen dute segizioa: Ziripot, gizon barregarri eta lodikotea, gorputza lastoz beteriko zakuez estalia duena eta baldar ibiltzen dena; horri segika, Zaldikoa, zaldi basatia, eraso egiten diona lurrera bota arte; Arotzak, mailuak eta kurrikak daramatzatenak eta Zaldikoaren atzetik korrika doazenak, ferratzera; eta, azkenik, Txatxoak, animalia larrutan jantzita, bertan daudenak zirikatzen dituztenak, makilak eta erratzak daramatzatelarik.

CARNAVAL DE LANTZ
Carnaval rural de gran tradición, en el que durante unos días las fuerzas del mal y del bien se enfrentan en una batalla simbólica en la que la sed de justicia moviliza las iras populares.
Cada martes de carnaval se celebra en el pueblecito de Lantz, el apresamiento, juicio y muerte en la hoguera del mítico y malvado bandido Miel Otxin.
Este muñeco de tres metros porta los brazos en cruz, viste blusa estampada, pantalón azul y faja roja, y corona su cabeza un gorro cónico llamativamente adornado.
Asimismo, varios personajes le acompañan en el desfile: Ziripot, hombre bonachón y gordinflón hecho a base de sacos rellenos de helechos y heno, que apenas puede mantenerse en pie; le persigue el Zaldiko, caballo bravío que arremete contra él hasta tirarlo al suelo; los Arotzak portan martillos y tenazas, y corren tras el Zaldiko para herrarlo, y finalmente los Txatxos, que enfundados en pieles de animales y armados con palos y escobas, gritan mientras hostigan a todos los presentes.

CARNIVAL OF LANTZ
A long-standing rural tradition in which the forces of good and evil confront each other in a symbolic battle, during which the thirst for justice stirs up public rage.
Every Tuesday during carnival week, in the little village of Lantz, the legendarily evil bandit Miel Otxin is imprisoned and sentenced to death by fire. The three-metre high effigy is dressed in a patterned blouson, blue trousers and a red sash, with his arms stretched out in a cross and crowned with a colourfully embellished conical cap.
Various other characters accompany him on the procession: Ziripot, a roly-poly, good natured chap made from sacks full of bracken and hay who can barely stay upright; Zaldiko, a wild horse which charges him until he falls to the ground; meanwhile, the Arotzak carrying hammers and pincers, runs behind El Zaldiko to try to shoe him, and finally the Txatxos, enveloped in animal skins and armed with staves and broomsticks, bellow incoherently while harassing everyone present.
