First impressions can be a little intimidating, and that’s completely okay! After all, I’m a stranger showing up with a giant camera in their face. I have a few techniques that might seem a little silly at first, but trust the process…I want to leave with genuine smiles just as much as you do.

I’ve definitely found one of my favorite beaches to shoot at! Checks all the boxes, easy parking, easy access and versatility! Sunrise is where it’s at for these summer months but once the crowds clear out sunset will be 🤩

Extended family sessions run a little differently than my regular family sessions. Not by much, but enough that I think it’s worth mentioning!

With one family, I can be a bit more go-with-the-flow and let moments unfold naturally. But when multiple families are involved, I like to work from a loose shot list to make sure we capture all the important combinations—grandparents with grandkids, cousins together, siblings, each individual family, and more.

When you’re coordinating a large group, a little structure helps keep everyone on the same page and ensures no one gets missed. After a while, it’s only natural that kids (and let’s be honest, adults too!) start losing interest in photos. Because of that, extended family sessions tend to be the most posed of all my sessions. Once we’ve checked off those must-have groupings, we’ll absolutely make time for some relaxed, candid moments as well. If you have any questions before your session, don’t hesitate to reach out!
