Una de mis fotografías ha sido seleccionada por MyWed como una de las mejores fotos de boda del año.

Me hace mucha ilusión recibir este tipo de reconocimiento, sobre todo porque detrás de cada imagen hay una historia real, un instante irrepetible y una pareja que confió en mi manera de mirar.

Gracias siempre a quienes me permiten contar su boda desde dentro.

One of my photographs has been selected by MyWed as one of the best wedding photos of the year.

I’m truly happy to receive this kind of recognition, especially because behind every image there is a real story, an unrepeatable moment, and a couple who trusted the way I see and document a wedding day.

Las tendencias en fotografía de boda hay que conocerlas. No para obedecerlas, sino para entender espíritu del momento y decidir con criterio.

Esta imagen del primer baile está movida. Con el movimiento intento contar algo: música, nervios, giro, piel. El problema es cuando la “foto movida” se convierte en receta automática solo porque está de moda. Entonces deja de ser lenguaje y pasa a ser muletilla.

La intención manda. La técnica solo tiene sentido si suma a la historia.

Si el recurso no aporta emoción o narrativa, no lo uso. Aunque esté en tendencia.

¿Tendencia o verdad?

Wedding photography trends are worth knowing. Not to follow them blindly, but to understand the spirit of the moment and make conscious decisions.

This image of the first dance is intentionally blurred. Through movement, I’m trying to tell something: music, nerves, a turn, skin. The problem comes when “motion blur” turns into an automatic formula just because it’s trendy. Then it stops being a language and becomes a crutch.

Intention comes first. Technique only makes sense if it adds to the story.
If a tool doesn’t bring emotion or narrative, I don’t use it — even if it’s trending.

Tras compartir hace unos días mi nominación a Fotógrafo de Boda del Año en los MyWed Wedding Awards 2025, hoy quiero mostrar estas otras tres imágenes que también han sido seleccionadas en categorías que me tocan de cerca:

• Invitados de boda — los gestos que ocurren en silencio. • Fiesta nupcial — la verdad cuando la celebración se desata. • Atemporal — imágenes que buscan durar más que un instante.

Cada foto cuenta un fragmento distinto de lo que entiendo por una historia de boda.

After sharing my nomination for Wedding Photographer of the Year a few days ago, today I want to highlight three more images that were selected in categories that speak deeply to how I see weddings:

• Wedding Guests — the unnoticed gestures. • Wedding Party — truth revealed in celebration. • Timeless — images meant to outlive the moment.

Each of these photographs reflects a small piece of what a wedding story can be.

Me han avisado de algo que me ha dejado sin palabras.

Varias de mis fotografías han sido nominadas en los MyWed Wedding Awards 2025 en diferentes categorías… y lo que más ilusión me hace: estar nominado a Fotógrafo de Boda del Año.

Siempre me he considerado un fotógrafo de historias más que de fotografías. Este galardón reconoce precisamente eso: la narrativa completa de una boda, la forma de contarla de principio a fin.

Estar entre los trabajos seleccionados este año, junto a compañeros a los que admiro en todo el mundo, es un honor enorme.

Gracias a todas las parejas que confían en mí para contar su historia. Este reconocimiento es también vuestro.

I received news that truly left me speechless.

Several of my photographs have been nominated for the MyWed Wedding Awards 2025 in different categories… and what makes me happiest: being nominated for Wedding Photographer of the Year.

I’ve always seen myself as a storyteller rather than just a photographer. This award recognises exactly that: the complete narrative of a wedding, the way it’s told from beginning to end.

Being among the selected work this year, alongside colleagues I admire from all over the world, is an incredible honour.

Thank you to every couple who trusts me to tell their story. This recognition is yours as well.
