Carmencita Film Lab is an independent photographic film developing company. Our team is formed by a small group of professionals, in love with photography, and with photographic film in particular. We know there are more people like us, who know how hard it is to find a lab where negatives are treated with the right accuracy, care and dedication. That's why we decided to turn our passion into our

job, and open our doors to the professionals out there looking for the right place to develop and scan their film negatives. That's why we dedicate ourselves completely to each job, ensuring that our service is personalized and our product perfect. Our little treasure is called the SP3000 Fuji Frontier, known among professionals as the best scanner for film negatives. That's how we work in our lab; the machine delivers technical perfection and we human knowledge and passion. 🗻 ‘The Kamakura sky was an energetic pink, and everyone on the bus had their faces pressed against the glass. By the time we stepped out near the Lawson, the air had turned a deep, chilly blue. There was the famous Lawson convenience store, and right behind it stood , proud and perfectly framed. I couldn’t resist taking the picture. ‘The project is based on a trip my wife and I took to Bangkok and Krabi (Thailand), which became one of our favorite destinations. In fact, I want it to be part of a larger project on Southeast Asia, which will be called Postcards’ .

Digital? No, thank you! 👀 Today we celebrate the 2026 by sharing some behind-the-scenes moments from our recent Open Lab Day!

📸 We opened the doors of our five labs (València, Lisboa, Barcelona, Madrid, and Paris) so you could come in and see what happens behind the counter: not only the development and scanning processes but also our internal methods for organizing orders, dealing with common film issues, and even specific complicated cases.

Thank you all for coming and sharing the film love with us! 🩶

Thanks to , we were able to shoot some Kodak Portra 400 and Portra T-Max 400 film, develop it, and scan it, learning about the unique characteristics of these stocks.
