The bright midday sun wasn’t ideal for color, so I switched to black & white instead. It brings out the shadows, textures, and dramatic layers of the spectacular Flysch formations at Zumaia. Millions of years of Earth’s history carved into stone.

We found them at Bullers of Buchan—perched on the cliffs, waddling around like they own the place.
Clumsy on land, graceful in the air, and endlessly entertaining. Funny little birds that make the hike totally worth it.
