“YUTORI”

This exhibition explores the concept of revisiting the self and creating a space for mental and emotional well-being. By looking back at my works, I try to understand what I loved and created, and take a step back to observe. I want to take this time to look backward for a better understanding of myself, and it’s very important as a person to see how far I have come.

The exhibition title comes from the Japanese word or concept “Yutori,” which refers to creating mental, emotional, and physical space in life to slow down, reflect, and find balance, rather than constantly striving for productivity. It emphasizes intentional pauses, reducing stress, and an appreciation of the present moment, allowing for calm, creativity, and a deeper connection with oneself and the world.

In this exhibition, I would like the viewers to engage with the work and have a moment to remind themselves to take time to appreciate the present moment and create a space for themselves.
