Yesterday we had the absolute privilege of attending a pre-wedding ceremony with Turkana people here in remote Kenya. I ran into so many old friends and we made so many new ones. What an incredible and surprising event to witness!

Here. Now. Remote Kenya. Young Rendille men work from 3am to noon fetching water from deep wells at the foothills of the rugged Ndoto Mountains. Each camel drinks 120l per day so their work to water hundred of them each morning is arduous. Despite this they sing and chant as they work tirelessly for hours. This is the famous “Singing Wells” of northern Kenya and to witness one in full swing as we did today left us all in awe and reverence. Wild Images is returning to northern Kenya in 2028. I’ve been taking photos since I was 14 years old. For nine years of my life I worked in front of the camera - as a model in Australia, Norway, UK and France. These days I’m happiest when I’m on the other side of the lens. Photography has given me the most fulfilling, creative, adventurous life I could ever wish for. It has brought new friends into my life and and as I sit here about to embark on a wonderful expedition to the wilds of northern Kenya with a special group of guests after a thrilling two weeks of wildlife photography here, I couldn’t be more happy. Happy World Photography Day

Two of my greatest photographic influences in Africa are the talented duo of Carol Beckwith and Angela Fisher. Between them they have spent over three decades sensitively and comprehensively documenting African culture and the extraordinary ceremonies celebrated by people across the continent.

Yesterday I was both humbled and honoured to discover that my photos from Angola have inspired their own journey there. They have been travelling with my dear friend Stefan who kindly shared these photos with me. I felt so moved to see my photos adorning their travel journals and I very much appreciate their permission to share them here ❤️

SENEGAL pioneering trip next year! Due to a recent date change and a cancellation, I have space for a solo traveller (or twin share) on my pioneering tour to Senegal in May 2027. This unique photography tour would suit lovers of travel photography, portraiture, and drone pilots as we explore the rarely seen initiation rites of the Bassari people, the world of wrestling in Senegal, meet with the Diola kings and witness the otherworldly masked dance of Kumpo. Desert Fairytales! During my recent expedition in the Algerian Sahara we were blessed with some truly extraordinary forays into one of the world’s most spectacular deserts. Here is a selection of my favourite images:
