The fabrics are one of my greatest love. Choosing them. Imagining what I could create of them. Really sensing how they feel and how they move.
I found the fabric for this dress from my stocks. I have bought it over 10 years ago. In the label it says it is made by Burberry. And I think it is viscose mix. However it has been waiting for a right dress model so long. And yes, I have a lot of fabrics in my dresser just waiting for the right moment.
In some way this is a demo for the gold dress you saw earlier. But it is the last dress I made for this collection. It’s like ”a dot on i” as we used to say in Finland. And after so many bell-shaped hems I love the idea of a narrow dress. Every collection needs one exception, right?
The white is so beautiful on her. So pure and calming. It is also a very strong color. Just like she is. 💕

BEFORE and AFTER

Like here, we started from the streets of Helsinki (which I love 😍 needs to be said here 😁) and ended up in the narrow alleys of Paris, my old hometown..

This is the first one. The inspiration for all the other dresses. It’s also one of the master pieces I have ever made. Because it fits soooo well. 😍
I used to say: ”I will not make dresses for anybody else anymore, just for myself.” Then she started to make music and creating music videos. I was thinking: ”How it would feel if I could see my design in some of her videos?” Maybe that day will come.
She is so creative and inspiring artist who encourage us all to use our gifts, our skills. She is so full of hope and confidence for a better tomorrow.
She is a photographer too and usually she takes pictures of me. This time I wanted her to be in front of camera (and many other times too). Lucky me, I got to use her professional camera when taking these photos. She also helped me to process the pictures.
The dress is made of silk and I love the color of gold. Do you?
