When I was pregnant with my son I fell in love with walking. I’ve always considered walking a bit (or very) boring way to reach places but since preggo me wasn’t able to do any sports due to high heart rate I just walked and walked and walked. Now that my son is here we walk to places together. Today we saw piles of trees. | Forestry. Sipoo, Finland. 2021.

Delivery day, yay! Crispy -22C/-8F as I delivered two framed beauties to their new home (thank you to my client for the 2nd pic). My photography business turns 10 years in March and I've come a long way. So many things have changed; goals, vision, skills, cameras... Two things still remain: myself and a handful of faithful clients who've supported me from day one. They invest in my time and talent and I couldn't be more thankful. I'm happy that these editions now belong to one of my first clients. Thank you!

One day each month. That’s how much I’m able to push my art at the moment. I have three brands currently and this artsy one is left behind. My portrait business and somewhat popular podcast ”Luovia” take up most of my hours but it’s so important to prioritize my own art at least once every four weeks. During the winter my friend and colleague Senja helped me with the nitty-gritty, the stuff that needs to be done, the stuff I’d rather skip. We added inch sizes for the art prints in my online shop (link in profile), new prints are now available as well and we spent the whole afternoon making sure my SEO works well. Many people outside art industry think photographer’s job is all about creating new images but instead it’s getting the old stuff in front of new people. | Sleeping Beauty (zoom in!). This is one of my personal favorites. Not because mr Stanley cheated him out of his inheritance but because taking this image was a game of luck. I photographed it with my old Nikon D700+35mm lens attached to Black Rapid strap. The camera was hanging on my right hip which was also the angle I decided to use as I wanted to keep on walking.
