Where Time Was Layered

Just standing there for a moment while the water drops 128 meters into the canyon below. Hard not to stare at it a little longer than planned. The red bands across the cliffs are layers, millions of years of eruptions quietly stacked like pages in a book. A place easy to get lost in your thoughts.

Rago National Park is where stillness takes shape—dramatic cliffs, rivers carving through ancient forests, and waterfalls that flow like whispers down the stone. No crowds, no noise, just nature at its rawest. It’s a place that doesn’t need filters to impress, where golden light plays hide and seek across valleys that feel untouched by time. If you’ve been searching for landscapes that don’t try too hard but still take your breath away, this is it.

Race against sunset

🎒 Shortcut, they said. You’ll catch the sunset, they said. Cue me, sprinting up the trail like it’s an Olympic event, tripping over roots, and questioning my choices. But WOW—this view made it all worth it. 🌅

That sunset? A masterpiece. The cliffs? Pure drama. Would I take the “shortcut” again? Only if there’s a snack break halfway.

One of those places in the which takes your breath away the moment you step on the ledge to witness the sight. It felt like being on a different planet, something you only see in your dreams.
The gorgeous mountain ranges of Yoho National Park in the Canadian Rockies cradle the three turquoise blue lakes illuminated by intensely colorful light as the setting sun colors low-lying clouds. I was quite lucky with the light that day.

Fall dreams

Fulfilling a lifelong dream of witnessing the beauty of the Matterhorn of Canada: Mount Assiniboine. It was worth the very long, but slightly painful hike. One of the most beautiful provincial parks I have ever seen.

Perseid Hunting

It has been a while since I had a chance to properly shoot the Perseid meteor shower. This year was lucky enough to have clear skies and a waxing crescent Moon, which makes shooting so much easier. I forgot how fun it was.
