After the extreme temperature we had a short period of high 20s before yesterday we hit 30° again . steve & Pete two of regulars have caught consistently this week pete had 3 the first 24hours upto 32lb in peg 2 before moving into peg 3 where he really picked up taking 8 fish in the 1st 24 hours with mamy 30s comeng out and he had a catfish that beat in him.up in the early hours.
Steve had a slow start in peg 1 but is on 7 or 8 fish now to 35lb but hes had a few smaller that have come through with a lovely little mirror yesterday of about 5lb definitely one for the future. They also had a few nice fish from the stockpond upto 15lb .
Peg 1 that has consistently fished best since I took over isn't as consistent this year the fish behaviour has definitely changed and peg 2 and 3 seem to be hold more fish.
Some of the fish have spawned again this week the last 2 mornings in pegs 1 and 4 margins working up a froth.
We close for a few weeks now for our mid season break before the taskers arrive on the 8th August unfortunately young Ron can't make it this year to look after his expecting wife kristal. Good luck to you both and I look forward to welcoming back in the future with the newest member of the tasker clan.
Ive been pumping in from chafs the last 2 weeks to raise the water level.bsck up as the extreme heat has dropped it down 18 inches unfortunately with the war kicking off again fuel.prices are back up too well over £2 a litre I paid £2.15 yesterday so I cant afford to keep filling the pumps at that . Heres a few of there fish and a few from the stockpond..

Just had this cracker from the stockpond u think.john from.jsm carpets had this fish many moons ago . Definitely one for the future imagine this at 40lb . Now in chads pool.

Finally got some rain after a barron 4 months but only lasted 10 minutes and then glorious sunshine and 34° . Been uncomfortable fishing in 40 degrees plus , for the lads on the last month and frustrating when you can see the big carp but there not feeding properly making it a tough month for fish on the bank . Bit of wind on the lake and cloud and sun .
Poor Andrew Bernard who supplies our bollies wasn't so lucky with giant hailstones breaking his windscreen and removing all the leaves from the trees a bit further south near limoges and causing widespread damage locally . Thankfully him and Debbie survived without injury .

Nice surprise this morning when I opened the curtains it was raining just a bit of light rain, but a welcome break from the high 30s we've had for the last month although its sunny and 32° now .
I bought a 5m pool over the weekend and filled it uo so anglers can reel in and cool off at least in this insane heatwave.
Im hoping to put up by the cabin next year when I level off I had a dip after working on the jcb yesterday it was heavenly.
Ive had 2 pumps running yesterday and have been pumping in from next door all last week to top up the water level but fuels prices are rising again to near €2 euro a litre.
Big thanks Pete at entang de vost for lending me his small pump to get some oxygen in the water as my aerator broke and it cant be repaired until September and repairing my pumps and returning them.
He just opened up a new lake on a cheap introductory price drive and survive but he does do a food packrge if you want it . Nice 4 acre lake with swims all on one bank . So if your looking at driving over with your gear take a look at entang de vost. Pete's a Dutch guy and did 5 years as a guide on the ebro. Before buying his own lake in france about 20 minutes south of foxpool.
Red hot for the lads on the last month Sunday was 39° and sleeping ain't easy with the lads chasing shade in the day time thankfully we got some much needed oxygen in the water we lost a few zander recently but thats due to high water temperatures as predators always go first.
Poor jay who had a hard week in peg 3 lost 3 on the last night unfortunately.
No one on this week as liam cancelled due to medical issues. Steve Pete back Saturday and chaperoned by Amy. Ive not fished this week or fed the lake as i think there's plenty gone in the last month. So hopefully theyve polished the bait off by the time the lads cast in Saturday afternoon. Then the lakes closed for 2 weeks as my son Thomas is over. Then we open the 8th for the taskers then have 2 more cancellations Bert and Adam then it kicks off on the 29th August when malcolm returns so hopefully it fishes well back end as its quite over the next 6 weeks .
The new website is now up and running so please take a look at it the more clicks the better it is. It has a availability calender on it too so you check the availability for next year. Scott done a great job with it.
Ive been on the jcb clearing the big pile of clay removed from chads pool which is hard going with the sun shining through the glass , but have to Crack on whilst its empty.

After a good start with Chris and Tony banking fish Robbie had got off the mark with 27lb mirror and a couple of smaller fish. Then it went dead for 48 hours before anthony added 34lb mirror in peg 2 then Chris had 20 in peg 1 but its been slow again in heat. We had high thirtys all week and Friday was the hottest and the lads have struggled coping in the heat.
Poor Robbie had the sh*ts for 48 hours and missed breakfast but carried on fishing to his credit his poor dad jay in peg 3 had nothing until friday morning when he had to small carp biggest 14 . We were stood on the monk and there was a big mirror under the tree just below the surface in his swim but a couple of juveniles turned up.
Unfortunately we lost another big carp this week that Chris had at 41lb when he was last here at 41lb.
These boys had it away last time and deserve more for there efforts. there the type of lads i love having on sat on there rods most the time always observing the water and fish behaviour but its been a completely different week this time compared too the last time, when they had a lot of big fish out to 57lb and They all had there pbs . Tony fish hard in peg 2 trying everything Chris is reading a book "think like a fish" which tickled me when I spotted on his table. Chris is a multi species angler and when I pulled a dead zander out this week he told he fly fishes for them .
Hopefully a couple of big uns turn up tonight to put a good end to a hard week be nice to see jay grab a biggie before he leaves as its been hard going in peg 3 .
A couple of fish lost also and I put a couple of rods in the stockpond yesterday and had what at first sight looked like a leather after Robbie landed it at 14lb but it litterly had a half scale on its top . Ive never had a leather carp but there a few come out in foxpool up to 46lb .
There's quite a few small fish coming through now and im asking the lads to put them in chads pool we will have to drain down and net it soon we definitely need some more preditors now we're taking the cats out.
But jay reckons hes seen a large albino catfish and there definitely aa carp trailing a lead he said as kev lost one last week.
There's no one on this week as liam cancelled due to medical reasons then steve Pete and Amy return before I shut for my holidays as my sons coming over. Then the taskers are back on the 8th then ive had 2 more cancellations in August so I think its malcolm returning. On the 29th so a quite period which will help the lads on back end hopefully.
Cheers Graham foxpool.

Sad to see the lads leave on Saturday but what a ending nigel who was blanking all week got some stick from the boys when seved the fish chips and mushy peas friday night.
:first fish you've seen all week ah nige ah " the lads were giving him some stick then straight after dinner he was on his bike literally flat tyre and all pedaling round to peg 4 as his receiver was bleeping the lads shouting obscenity of his sharply figure on the old push iron.
Then he lifted his rod and he was into a fish but the pressure was on big time not to lose it . After a good scrap kev slipped the net under the little coparal at a tad over 30lb result. I was made up for him and the boot had moved firmly on the other foot as it was bigger than macs and nicks fish.
Kev and nick managed a few more since the last post and the lads managed to limp into doubles figures .
I took the lads out to orodour sur glane the village of martyrs on route to the airport as they were packed up early .
Had a great laugh with the lads all week a absolute pleasure to have on the lake and it was sad it was such hard going in the heat.
Just like to say a big thankyou for there €120 tip they insisted on and the lovely comments on the lake and food really Apreciatted there back in france in October on another lake and hope they smash it .
This week we welcomed Chris Tony and Robbie back along with jay who unfortunately had to pull out last time due to ill health.
Chris and Tony are both off the mark in pegs 1 and 2 with a 33lb mirror for Tony in peg 2 and 27lb mirror and a small common for Chris in peg 1 but its hot jay lost one last night in peg 3 aswell .
Unfortunately we have fish trailing line ive decided im only allowing rig marole tubing now as over the years ive had quite a few rigs with the rubber tubing still on the fish and the ri g marole stuff gives in my and other lake owners opinion the the best chance of releasing from snapped line due to it wider bore and metal interior its not 100% but with a few fish missing ì have and always will put fish care 1st
For me the rigmarole is the best stuff i've used it gives you excellent line lay with its heavy inner so it hugs the contours of the lake bed. I use now on all my fishing as I.like everything on the bottom. We now have it back in stock at the lake thanks to Mr Young fetching over for me

If these lads didn't have bad luck they'd have no luck at all. Nigel
Phoned me a couple of weeks back asking if he could book this week as the lake theyd booked had had to close due to spawning and fish stressed .,and theyd paid for there flights and stood to lose them.
I was happy to help them out and with the insane temperatures dropping i'd hoped they get on the munch. I explained it fished poorly the week before in the extreme heat and that water temperature was 30 degrees .on route from the airport
Unfortunately when I arrived back at the lake ,mac informed of big mirror in the margin and it was a big mirror 49lb loaded with spawn not a good start seeing that .
They picked the swims and a couple of small carp came out Saturday night in pegs 1 and 2 nothing but thats been it for nick and Mac in 2&1 since . Its even worse for nigel in peg 4 as hes blanking only having a couple from the stockpond .
Kev in peg 3 has the only one who's caught anything descent bagging a pb forty one pound mirror then a brace of 30s and a couple of smaller fish he reckons he also lost a big catfish wednesday night snapping him off he also lost a grass carp after he netted it and it jumped put snappimg him off. after he nick had a couple of smaller ones earlier that were removed. I was up late last night and Mac knocked on saying he had a fish snagged up so at 12.30 I was in the boat trying to see what had occurred but only got his leads and tubing back .
Im hoping today they get something for there efforts but im not optimistic as its getter hotter by the hour . I think the fish are holding up in the deeper cooler water infront of 3 but they were showing in peg 4 this morning and they are fizzing mid water in the mornings.
This group have been a great bunch of lads to have on . One of the best in my time here and i really enjoyed the banter this week 3 of them work together at kingmill bakery as driver And nicks a accountant.
The heatwave returns this week with high 30s forecast so I can't see the lads on Saturday bagging up either . I think the bait thats gone in last week and this is probably still out there so I wouldn't go too heavy ɓaiting were closed the week after so hopefully they clear what's out there that week before Pete and steve arrive then we shut for the mid season break for a few weeks .
We are launching the new website next week this will allow you to book through the site and see availability . Big thanks to scott for his efforts with the site hes done a fantastic job with it. So please take look . as its got loads of information on bait food aswell as fish pictures.
Ive been cracking on with the cabin on chads pool and the walls and ceilings are boarded and im starting wiring the the sockets in today. A few more fish gone in from what the lads have caught in the stockpond. Near 50 fish in there now. Another large catfish nick had aswell from the stickpond about 17lb . 😢 hers a few bad pics nigel taken.

A really tough conditions to fish in last week with temperatures of plus forty everyday making it unbearable for the lads to sit by the rods monday and Tuesday we seen fish spawning again.
Neil and Ryan didn't fish in the day choosing to sit by the cabin and out of the insane heat.
Only 9 fish out out all week upto 39lb for Richard in peg 1 where he managed 4 fish . Hes been out here since well before I took Over and he never known it so hot . Certainly in my time here i I've not had it so warm for that long a period.
June can be quite wet as a rule with some big storms in previous years.
Thankfully last night we finally got some much needed rain with the thunder waking me in the early hours. after the lads arrived yesterday evening just as I served dinner at 8pm it went dark but it missed us totally to my disappointment but thankfully we got a bit of rain later to cool the water a tad .
The water temperature is a staggering 30 degrees and we had a couple of zander pop up .its usually the predator fish that go first I had the pump pumping in on Wednesday from next door to pump some oxygen in but its the high water temperature that you can't do anything about . A few lakes locally reporting dead pike popping up.
A couple of small fish out last night in pegs 1 & 2 but the lads said theu were active and as we chatted st breakfast I could see.lots of fizzing down infront of peg 3. Hopefully we get more rsin today and tonight and temperatures are dropping this week to low 30s high 20s all week before another heatwave is predicted in july.
The lads on this week booked on late as the lake they were supposed to fish shutdown due to the fish being stressed after spawning so they phoned me to see if I could accommodate them as theyd already payed out for there flights.
Hopefully the weather cooling switches them on the feed.

The heat is really unbearable this week and the fish are just laying up after a few started spawning again yesterday. We had plus 40 ° the last few days and its uncomfortable to sit in never mind work in.
Only 4 fish our this week so far with Aaron bagging a 30lb mirror first night in 2 and a couple of small catfish . Richards had a couple in.peg 1 and Neil's had a small one from 4 but the water temperature is unbelievably warm . With the heat set to continue all this week its going to fish slow I think . Theres some rain coming in next week which hopefully helps .
The lake has dropped 6 inches over the last few weeks ive been trying to get the pump working to pump in from Chad's pool but no joy so I ordered a new one yesterday as soon as it arrives I will start pumping in from next door.
I had half a ton of pellet arrive after breakfast so thats all loaded into the shed now before it gets to hot.
I'm taking the lads to the big lake at eguzon this afternoon for a swim and cool down from the burning sun its not healthy to be sat in this and it will be a nice break away for them all. Unfortunately I can't do anything about the weather its crazy temperatures for june which can be quite wet normally in france.
I have got a new website coming out in the next month which will allow you to see availability and book on and follow the catch reports . Scott is doing a great job with it and I'm looking forward to seeing the finish product. Its something I wanted to do for years as I had no control over the old wix one set up by the previous owner . The new one is foxpools france. Not foxpool. I will let you know when it launches.
I've got a few bookings come in for next year with may full almost as i'm closed for my 60th party for 2 weeks.
Hopefully this insane heatwave cools and the fish get on it . Cheers Graham

Bloody hot this week with temperatures hitting 37° today the lads are struggling in the heat so we went out Tuesday to gargilisse for a few beers before returning late, when I cooked peppered steak.
Great lads on from my manner Manchester father Dale son mathew and sons mate Aaron former soldier who did 2 tours in Afghanistan seeing some terrible things that no one should have to see
They all got off the mark soon and they had a couple of fish each under there belt but its just got hotter and hotter by the day. The fish started to spawn again monday not all but a few then Tuesday more had joined in so they asked me too take them for a beer so went to walk ny the river and then in the artiste hotel for a few bevvies ʻ
Aaron had a couple from peg 4 yesterday after dinner a 28lb and 34lb in the night .Dale also bagged a 34lb in the night and Mathew to had 34lb fish earlier in the weeknso there all tied 34 being the biggest out. But its brutal the heat and its getting hotter with 41 ° monday.
The fish are just sat at the on the top or cruising just below the surface not interested in feeding in the day so what little action there is will be at night for sure.
Great week with thses boys though we went to eguzon today to the huge lake there where I took the paddle board and we all went for a swim the guys went for few beers and it was nice to cool off
Just like to wish silve happy 66th birthday yesterday. I went over for a bq last night and left the lads watching the England game in the house.
Hopefully a couple of big ones turn up the next 2 nights as its been frustrating seeing all the fish but struggling for bites.
