2h30 on the beach. Thousands of runners. And honestly, I could have stayed there all day.

Last weekend at the Trail de la Côte d’Opale was one of those moments when I simply loved being behind the camera.

The sea, the wind, the changing light, the endless lines of runners along the beach… and thousands of different stories passing through my frame.

I spent around two and a half hours shooting on the sand, looking for more than just running: silhouettes, reflections, movement, exhaustion, small groups forming in the distance, and those brief moments when everything comes together.

Sometimes sport gives you an incredible playground as a photographer.

And the Côte d’Opale certainly delivered.

We spend so much time focused on what’s happening in front of our cameras that we sometimes forget to photograph what’s happening around us.

I missed the picture I had in my head.
But I captured the ones I couldn’t have imagined.

Yesterday, that missed shot followed me all day.

This morning, looking back at these moments with Kasia, the frustration was gone.

Sometimes photography is also about accepting what you can’t control — and being ready for what happens next.

A day of contrasts.

A brilliant win, the yellow jersey still standing strong, and countless moments in between that make the Tour so special.

From the intensity of the race to the atmosphere along the roads, every stage tells its own story.

You don’t always enjoy the day.

Yesterday was one of those stages.

Wrong choices.
A camera issue.
A wasp sting while shooting from the motorbike.

By the end of the day, I honestly felt frustrated.

Then I looked back at the images.

The emotion at the finish.
The suffering on the climbs.
The beautiful roads through the Beaujolais vineyards.
The fans lining every corner.

In the end, the race delivered another unforgettable chapter. Demi Vollering claimed a brilliant victory, while Marlen Reusser fought hard enough to keep the yellow jersey.

Maybe that’s one of the lessons this job keeps teaching me: even on the days that don’t feel successful, there are still stories worth telling.

And that’s why I keep coming back.

The fourth stage of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift was all about precision, power and focus. Every second mattered.

From quiet moments before the start to full-speed commitment on the course, here’s my visual recap of a day where there was nowhere to hide.

Back on French roads, the Jura delivered a spectacular stage from start to finish.

Sigrid Ytterhus Haugset pulled off an incredible solo ride, staying away for 88 kilometres to claim one of the most impressive victories of this year’s race.
