Mother’s day is always a trigger for me. My mother was verbally and physically abusive towards me. I think with the perspective and consciousness I have now, she never fully understood my needs as a neurodivergent kid.
She beat me like crap, burn me twice with boiling water pans.
I never fully recovered from the traumas. Since I’ve started to go to therapy, the mask has fallen and I can barely call her mum.
I wish I understood her more to forgive but it’s hard for me at the moment.
I never wanted kids of my own.
I lost my trust in humans, a thing I try to re-learn slowly.
I prefer the company of animals.
I trust them more.
No violence between my daughters and I. Only softness.
Thank you to Lisse, Mercure, Berlioz Charmaine, Mina, Asgard, Looping, Coline and Esterelle, all my furry kids throughout the years to have made me a Mother.
I love you all.
