Today I delivered a gallery I’m genuinely going to miss working on. ✨

Simona and Michael’s wedding at Château de Poudenas was also my first time working with MADE | Destination Wedding Designer & Planner, les renouées and WEDDING CONTENT CREATOR - ITALY, FRANCE, PORTUGAL.
And what a masterclass!

The kind of team that makes everything look effortless because everyone is very, very good at what they do.

Add to that a brilliant couple, guests who understood the assignment and a French château that got me to 10K steps suspiciously fast.

Also, important information for future weddings:
Oasis still works ridiculously well on a dance floor.
Consider this as my professional research. 🐸

I also went a little overboard with the 35mm film on this one.
No regrets.

And looking through this gallery, I think it sums up exactly what I love about wedding photography:  👉🏻 A mix of documentary moments, editorial images, black and white, film, flash and all the little things happening in between.

Beautiful, yes.
But never too polished to still feel like you.

If I could photograph this wedding again, I would.

I mean… If you’re going to have an outdoor ceremony, this is a pretty convincing argument for the South of France. ✍🏻

Still thinking about this ceremony at Castel Bay.

The Mediterranean Sea right behind them, pine trees all around and that beautiful Provence light throughout the afternoon.

A small tip if you’re planning a summer wedding on the French Riviera though:
Don’t underestimate the sun. 🌞

SPF is essential and parasols for your guests are such a good idea.
Practical, pretty and very appreciated after twenty minutes in full sunshine.

Because choosing an incredible view is one thing.
Making sure everyone can actually enjoy it is even better. 🤌🏻

The weather was feeling dramatic.
Everyone else was far too busy having fun to care. ✨

Late July at Château Rigaud in Nouvelle-Aquitaine:
A little rain, some fog, a lot of colour, confetti everywhere plus Josephine and James laughing through all of it.

And then the music started.
An incredible live wedding band came all the way from Provence. Very quickly it turned this château into a proper party. 💃🏻

A little reminder for anyone planning a destination wedding in France.
The forecast really doesn’t get to decide whether you have a brilliant day.

Rain or sunshine, we make it work.
And usually we have quite a lot of fun doing it.

I love making a little space in the timeline (when it’s possible) for a bridesmaids first look.

Just a few minutes together before the day properly begins and, usually, some very good faces to photograph.

Simple, fun and always worth it. 🙏🏻

True story: I have wide feet.
Finding a pair of shoes I actually love is basically an extreme sport.

So yes, I have a slight obsession with photographing yours. 🐸

Wedding shoes are one of those details chosen with ridiculous care, only to spend most of the day hidden under a dress.
Which feels a little unfair, if you ask me.

Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, vintage heels, something blue or something completely unexpected:
I always make time during the bridal preparations to capture them properly.

Not just placed neatly beside the dress, but styled in a way that actually says something about you and the atmosphere of your big day.

Because wedding photography is also about remembering the details you spent months choosing, including the ones almost nobody else gets to see.

And considering those shoes are quite literally carrying you through the day, I’d say they deserve their portrait too. 💅🏻

The groom deserves his moment too.
And yes, I will make sure he gets it. 👀

I love taking a few minutes during the day for solo portraits.

Nothing overly posed or complicated.
Just enough time to create pictures that actually feel like him.

Because wedding photography isn’t only about beautiful couple portraits.

It’s also about giving both of you your own space in the story. 🙏🏻

So yes, brides get their moment.
But so do the grooms.

First time in Hyères and what a way to discover it. 👁️👄👁️

Getting to Castel Bay was quite the journey, but that view made me forget about it pretty quickly.

The Mediterranean sea, the pine trees, the cicadas all day long…
Coming from the South West of France, I was completely out of my usual scenery and I loved every second of it.

But what I’ll remember most is how genuinely kind this couple and the bridal party were.

So here is a little preview of this French, British and Italian wedding at this lovely venue.
Definitely not my last trip to Provence. 👀

Some venues look good from one angle.
Domaine de Perrotin clearly didn’t get that memo.

This styled shoot was basically my excuse to explore every corner of this venue. 🙈

From its gardens and old stone architecture to the interiors, tablescape and all those little pockets of light.

And that is exactly what I look for in a wedding venue.

Not one impressive backdrop, but a place that gives you options and lets the day move naturally without every photo feeling like it happened in the same three meters.

Also, yes, we brought croissants into the equation. Important creative research. ✨

If you’re planning a wedding near Bordeaux and want a venue with enough personality to build something truly yours, this place deserves a spot on the list.

8 weddings into my 2026 season.
8 completely different couples, as they should be.

I’ve been wedding free since the end of July, which means weekends are currently mine again. 🐸

Before round two kicks off at the end of August, here are the couples I’ve photographed since May.

Bordeaux, Dordogne, Burgundy, Provence.
Intimate weddings, big parties, château life, different cultures, different energies.  And absolutely no copy paste.
Exactly how I like it.
Because you can love a photographer’s eye without wanting your wedding to look like everybody else’s.

The kind of wedding that makes you remember exactly why you chose this job. ✨

My first time photographing a wedding at Château de Poudenas… And what a first!

Simona and Michael brought the looks, the energy and most importantly, zero interest in having a wedding that felt like everyone else’s.

And I have to say it because it matters:
I had such a good day and night.

Being completely aligned with the bride, the groom and the entire team behind the wedding is such a breath of fresh air.

When everyone understands the vision, trusts each other and is genuinely good at what they do, you can feel it.
And you can definitely see it in the images. 🖖🏻

That’s also something I’d tell any couple planning a destination wedding in France:
Choose your team for more than their portfolio.

Indeed choose people whose vision and way of working actually match yours.
The result is better, but so is the experience. 💅🏻
