Life has been beautifully full lately—in the best, most chaotic way. Balancing motherhood, work, community, and all the roles in between has made time outside feel especially precious.

Getting to move fast and light in my Fjällräven lightweight gear has made all the difference this season, helping me spend less time thinking about gear and more time soaking up the moments that matter. The Skule Sling 6 and Keb Lätt Wind Jacket permanently live in my car these days, ready for whatever adventure or detour the day brings.

Feeling deeply grateful for long days outside, healthy bodies, my beautiful family, and the privilege of building a life that feels this full.

I’d say I stare at Ava less now than when she was a tiny, but that would be an outright lie. Being her mom is the best, and it gets sweeter all the time.

Sometimes I wish I could hit pause on life, reveling in these perfect little moments for longer. Time is a blessing, and a thief. Looking forward to more moments like this as the sun melts out and the high country opens up.

When I was pregnant with Ava, told me I would soon be crossing a portal, starting something wild and wholly new. She was right, motherhood is one of the greatest inflection points of my life and I’m all the better for it. Sending love to all the incredible people who’ve modeled the type of mother I hope to be, and to Ava, for everything. Happy Mother’s Day, in the most expansive possible way, to all of you.

When I got pregnant with Ava, we set an intention as a family: to keep spending as much time outside as possible, whatever that might look like.

Turns out, it looks a lot like this—nights under a million stars, Ava covered in dirt, climbing, and soaking up the joy of it all. Van life + toddlers = ALL the fun.

Sure, there are hard moments, but they would find us anywhere and we’d rather meet them out here, under the big open sky.
