About the Title — の:Trace
The title の:Trace uses the Japanese particle “の” (no), meaning “of” or “belonging to.”
Each chapter is a trace of off-RCA — a fragment of memory, a space of emotion, a held breath.

A Sensory Encounter Between Image and Scented Architecture
This exhibition brings together photographic, film, sculptural, process-based and olfactory
architecture works by Royal College of Art alumni. Each artist speaks in their own material and
conceptual language.
off-RCA does not interfere with that voice — it listens.
What holds these works together is scent as emotional structure: not imposed, but ambient.

“Emotional Landscapes: The Interplay of Scent and Photography” Super excited to get back to the as a guest lecturer tomorrow : talk and workshop for photography and other students from “Material Looking” practice group about scent and . A 4 hour session about tracing emotion through matter - through air, skin, molecules and memory. It belongs to the philosophical shift that understands the self not as fixed, but as becoming, entangled, diffused, and affective. Drawing from new materialism, which insists that meaning is not imposed upon the world from above, but emerges from material relations themselves . In this spirit, a scent is not a symbol-it is an event. A photograph is not a representation-it is a vibration caught in emulsion, light, or pixels. Images are kinetic matters. materialism
