Then, I edit them to create a minimalist, immersive, and cinematic film.

About Me

How do you photograph?
I use natural light, listening, and human connection.
I observe. I spend time with you to understand your context, your emotions, your essence.
Then I capture.
The best photographs are born from trust.

What are your influences?
Inspired mainly by Cartier-Bresson, Salgado, Doisneau, and McCurry, I seek to create images that honor the humanity of my subject.

What really drives you?
Three simple things: authentic encounters with people, the beauty of overlooked details, and the idea that every project can have a lasting impact.

What is your mission in life?
To reveal and honor the authentic humanity in every person, every organization, and every story:
- by restoring trust in the real in the face of saturation with the superficial and artificial perfection
- by transforming how humans see themselves, how organizations tell their stories, and how creation is done.

About Me

Who are you?
I am Alban BESSON, a humanist photographer and trilingual explorer based in Marseille.
I document the simplicity of real human relationships: people, their moments, their relationships, their stories.
No retouching, no staging: just authenticity.

Why humanist?
Because my photography puts human beings at the center, in a context created by them and for them, in order to show their way of life in a natural and authentic way.
Your values, your projects, your way of life.
It is an approach guided by listening, authenticity, and trust.

Why do you take photographs?
Every person has a story that deserves to be told.
Every profession, every event, every encounter, every moment contains emotion, beauty, truth.
My role is to capture them in images to preserve them—for you, for me, for memory.

What do you photograph specifically?
People in their daily lives. Committed companies, SMEs, hotels, artisans, creatives.
I photograph what already exists: your hands at work, your genuine smiles, your events, your passions.

What is vita lenta?
Vita lenta is my philosophy that guides all my work: taking time, valuing quality, celebrating simplicity. It is first and foremost a humanistic photography exhibition, then a clothing and fashion accessories brand.
It means accepting the details that matter.

What does slowness really mean to you?
Slowness is the freedom to choose my own pace.
It's taking the time to really see people.
It's accepting that quality takes time and that it's worth it.
Vita lenta is my commitment, an act of respect: towards myself, towards my work, towards those I photograph.

What do you take away from all this?
Human relationships and lasting visual memories.
Your images become testimonials: proof that you existed, created, worked with passion.
These photographs tell your story for years to come.
It's a gift you give yourself: to remember.

Exposition photographique et auditive de lutte contre le racisme « Regarde Nous », en partenariat avec l’ Embassy Paris et

✨ En janvier 2022, avec Jnyanamurthi, nous avons conceptualisé et créée l’exposition photographique et auditive de 34 témoignages captivants en fusionnant art et conscience pour illustrer les réalités de discriminations racistes.

🎨 Comment avons-nous créé cette oeuvre unique ?
C’est un duo harmonieux : Jnyanamurthi, mélanisé et conscient des enjeux du racisme, m’a inspiré. En dépit de sa déficience visuelle liée à son handicap, il a partagé son envie de créer, sa vision esthétique, que j’ai retranscrite avec confiance à travers mes yeux. Moi-même, photographe, j’ai souhaité participé à une thématique importante.

🤝 Travaillant en tandem grâce à nos visions communes, nous avons révélé des détails imperceptibles pour beaucoup.

🧳 Notre exposition a voyagé, de la , à l’Hexagone, à la bibliothèque de Fenouillères, au à la avec l’, jusqu’à la Résidence du Consulat des États-Unis.

🌐 De nouveaux projets s’annoncent en France pour les années à venir.
