The son of a painter and keen photographer, Carl
grew up with a camera in his hands. By the age of 7 he was using a handheld Leitz light meter and slide-rule to calculate exposure settings for the 2 1/4 square Dacorra folding bellows-lens camera (ie. NOT a point-and-press!) which his grandfather had brought back from Germany after the Second World War. Consequently, he has over 50 years experience of finding, composing and taking interesting images in both colour and black and white, which he is keen to share with you through this venture. Carl has always enjoyed travel throughout Europe, experiencing and photographing new places. On this page you will find numerous collections of photographs of interesting buildings and sites which have caught Carl's eye. These days, his travels are typically accompanied by his faithful (usually!) canine companion, Blodwyn and you will see plenty of photographs of her amongst the collections loaded up here. Also included are photos of other things which interest Carl and may be of interest to you too.
